Although such a component is a standard feature for our original Defender Series model, for this version that was engineered to complement Apple's MagSafe ecosystem we opted to make that an optional piece, which can be requested by following the instructions found with the packaging. You called it on the overall design of this Defender Series Pro XT case—and specifically its smooth outer finish—as being driven by the need to accommodate Apple's awesome MagSafe technology. Although the outer slipcover of our standard Defender Series case (which we do also make for the iPhone 13) will provide more grip, that model doesn't work to provide a "locking" connection to any MagSafe accessories, so there is a bit of a trade-off to consider.
