So, while the clear back is hard plastic, the overall feel on the sides is softer and grippier.
The OtterBox React case is not specifically designed to protect against bending, but the rigid plastic shell does offer some resistance.

This was my first Otterbox case and I went with this case because I heard good stuff about the brand. After a year it has definitely saved my phone from some drops but the case itself started bending or bowing and the soft bumper part is separating from the hard plastic back. Otterbox does have a lifetime warranty on their products and I was able to get a replacement case with little to no fuss but they charged me 10 dollars for shipping which I guess is better then buying another case. Still I expected more from this brand to have this case last only a year

Doesn't last long
This case last only about 6 months before it bent out of shape and stopped covering the corners of my phone. My phone screen protector is now cracked in the corner and I have to replace both.

Awesome product
This case protected my phone from many falls from 4ft high onto cement floor over a 2 year period. The soft sides do yellow but are easy to grab and hang onto. After 2 years the of sides has separated from the ack. So I'm buying a new case.colos other than cear and black would be awesome!!

Protected my phone well!
I had this phone case for over a year... yes it did get discolored, but it protected my phone. My phone fell under my couch, my husband lifted it up and I didn't see it. So he sat the couch down, I looked through the cushion and saw it.. so he picked it back up, the couch was sitting on my phone! It broke the case, but my phone isn't damaged. It did its job well.

Bought this case A Year Ago, And Now It Is Finally Falling Apart. Would Prefer It Came In Different Colors, Because It Did Start To Get Discolored After A Few Months, But Overall It Did It's Job And Protected My Phone. I Would Get It Again.

quickly yellowing
Case protects my phone, but it is already yellowing after less than 2 months. I wouldn't have chosen a clear case, but it was the only case available same day. I would be just a little disappointed if I'd had it for a year and a half, but I got it a month and a half ago.
