Q: The end pieces have no pilot holes. how do I attach this size screw to assemble? I have never used power tools in my life and it did not appear that they were required for assembly.

Why no pre-drilled holes
I am mid-assembly and still in shock that the manufacturer didn't think to pre-drill any holes. None. Also worried that with no support in the middle of the box, putting anything with weight in the box may cause some uneveness or separation in the frame. Time will tell if this makes it a season.

Great little bench.
We bought this bench for our front walkway. It makes it more homey when approaching our front door. It's been rained on plenty and there's no staining or water spots or anything like that. Holds us well. We currently aren't storing anything in it so I can't comment on the storage compartment being protected from rain.

Perfect inexpensive storage bench for my inexpensive cushions
This storage bench looks good, fills my storage needs, gives additional seating space, and is reasonably priced. I had put off getting cushions for my outdoor furniture for a very long time because I didn't want to spend stupid money for a storage box for them. I love multipurpose items. who doesn't want to get the most bang for their buck? I am 5'5" and 120lbs, put this together myself in about 35 minutes, going slow. I recommend having an exact blade or other blade on hand to shave off the bits of molded plastic that can get in the way of properly snapping pieces together. Other than that, you need a standard size Phillips head screwdriver, that's it. I LOVE this little bench!

I just purchased this MDeck Box for my grand daughter's sand box items so the dogs wont chew them or the sun fade them out. It is gorgeous! They are extremely sturdy. Planning to replace some of my older storage units with this amazing Grey color.

I absolutely love my bench seat. It arrived quickly from Aosom. The materials are very durable. We can store lots of things in this box to keep them safe from moisture. A garden hose, garden tools, etc. And sit on it for a while after tired.
