Owala 40oz FreeSip SWAY - Stainless Steel - Misty Meadow

I own several of these and love them all.

I have the original FreeSip Owala and just recently bought the FreeSip Sway. I love that the handle of the Sway provides a wider handle compared to that of the original. However, I do not think it keeps the coldness of the water as long as the original. I fill the Sway in the morning before work - by noon, the water is room temp. Wished it kept the water cold as advertised (24 hours).

Keeps water cold however dents very easily.

Love the color! It fits in my car's cupholder. Stay cold for such a long time

Arrived not only missing the straw but did not have any of the stickers on it that would prove it “new”. It’s scratched and has what looks like lipstick on it. SO disappointed!!!

Owala label scratching off and I’ve had it for less than a week. I haven’t dropped it so I’m not sure what’s going on.

Owala finally took their FreeSip and put it on a tapered bottle that fits in cup holders! I first got my two 24oz FreeSip in 2020 when Owala was not even popular and could only be ordered online directly through them. Then I wanted a larger bottle to be able to hold more ice & water so I got the 32oz FreeSip which I love but didn't like how it didn't fit in cup holders although it never leaked laying on its side in the car. I didn't want to get their tumbler because I don't like an exposed straw and they weren't leak proof. Finally Owala came out with the 40oz Sway which is perfect for me- fits in the cup holder, has the FreeSip, is completely leak proof and my 24oz Owala bottle boot fits snug. I have the boots on all my Owala which has really helped protect it from further dents & scratches on the bottom (which occurred prior to the boots coming out). The 40oz Sway is heavy when filled with water and ice but the bucket handle is so much easier and ergonomic to carry versus the version with the side handle. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is that the Sway doesn't keep as long as my other FreeSips most likely due to the larger opening (from what I read and because the large lid is not insulated). Otherwise the FreeSip is the best invention, the lid and bottle are very easy to take apart and clean because it doesn't have a lot of hidden crevices. I just wished these were more affordable so more people can experience what a great water bottle this is. I even hesitated buying this for a few months since I have so many bottles (some not Owala) but I always said if Owala came out with this style a lot earlier, I wouldn't have needed to buy any other bottles!

Leaks pretty badly. This would be a water bottle that always stays upright and you would have to hold up in the car if you’d want water everywhere.

Perfect size, so lightweight. Fits in cup holders, love the covered lid and the locking feature. Handle is great, love taking this on walks. Would love more colors: purples and blues.

I ordered this product because I saw another reviewer say the product is actually the top handle (the version I wanted) rather than the one with the mug handle that is pictured in the product listing. It is still the misty meadow color way but the coloring in person doesn't match how it is pictured. It is more of a green tumbler with periwinkle accents. Overall I'm happy with what I received, I just wish the product photo was the correct version of the tumbler.

This isn’t meant to be a negative review, just an opportunity to get the attention of whoever is responsible for the product listings. The quality and design of Owala products is top tier. I am especially fond of the new Sway design. The issue I noticed is the pictures for this product listing depict the tumbler with a standard handle (like a coffee mug) but instead it has a bucket handle. I have tried ordering this product three times now thinking it was an error with fulfillment but it is the photos on the product page that need to be fixed. Hope this helps anyone else avoid and/or fix a similar issue. Happy to amend my review when the photos are updated. :))
