OXO Stainless Steel Small Cookie Scoop: Dishwasher-Safe, 0.33 Volume, Black, Food Scoops, 8" Length

These cookie scoops were the perfect solution to my irritation of portioning dough on the cookie sheets. In 3 years, it never broke on me. I got really lazy once and put the cookie scoop in a bowl of raw cookie remnants left to soak for a week (yes, an entire week) - half of the scoop was covered in rust. Ok, my bad. I ordered a new one. I removed the scoop from the packaging, put it in the dishwasher (1 hour cycle), and removed it 3 hours later - the scoop had rust on the inside where the "swiping mechanism" meets the scoop itself, and outside on the hinge. I didn't even get to use it, and it already had rust. OXO said on the packaging that the item is dishwasher safe - but I don't know, is eating rust safe? I don't really want to find out. The steel on this product is way too cheap for the item to be called "dishwasher safe".

This is the worst. Metal loop inside scoop constantly gets off track and doesn’t work right.

These are the best cookie scoops. The cookie dough releases easily. The handles are easy to squeeze and work smoothly. My cookies always come out perfectly shaped. Easily cloying the dishwasher or by hand.

Broke after one use. I guess it works on extremely soft dough, but if your dough has been resting for any amount of time (dough was still soft), this scoop can’t handle it.

I love all of my Oxo products…except this one. The handle mechanism that makes the little food scraper move broke after 2 uses. Hopefully that description makes sense lol.

It broke and when it did work it didn't work smoothly.

I should have know better because many of the reviews were negative. The sweeper is not set correctly and doesn’t sweep the entire bowl of scoop and therefore does not release the dough. Thinking that it may be an issue with the dough, I brought out a larger JBprince scoop and it worked perfectly. Will be returning.

I am using it to make my holiday cookies! It works great.

Great scoop for normal consistency cookie batter. Unfortunately I have had this scoop break twice when trying to make chocolate crinkles cookies(after batter had to be refrigerated and is pretty solid to scoop thru). Would still buy for every day use.

This was hard to use from beginning. Metal loop in spoon only advanced 1/2 way. I should have returned it!

Disappointed. This was comfortable to use when I first bought it, but after only 3 batches of cookie dough.. it broke! It would no longer slide back to release the dough. Sadly, I ended up having to discard it. I have the same size scoop in another brand that I’ve had for years, but it was more expensive. I guess you get what you pay for.

Only used for 2 batches of cookie dough before it broke. I could tell it was going to break and sure enough it skipped 2 gears and the dough wasn’t thick/packed. Absolute trash - would not recommend.

This broke the first time I used it, but I had already thrown the packaging away. The little part in the scoop that is supposed to push the dough out only went halfway, making it useless. Extremely disappointed in Oxo for this product.

Absolutely terrible product. Broke after 2 scoops! This is my second one as I thought the first one may have been a dud. Nope, still trash. Beware!

-11/10 This scoop didn’t push cold or warm dough out. In fact, a bunch got stuck between the scoop and the little moving scraper. Ended up balling dough manually using a TBSP measurement. I’m mad I will have to get a new one somewhere else !

Easy to use & exactly the right size

Broke the second time I used it! Unfortunately was a big waste of money!

Second one purchased. Didn’t last more than six months and only used a handful of times. Spring fell off this time and couldn’t be fixed. Do not recommend!
