Q&A(9)

Q: Hi, I’m a very serious person for toxic, heavy metals usage. I love stainless steel. But I see that plastic handle in to the pot when heating process. How it could be still healthy if that plastic comes to the pot with hot steam.

  • A: Hi, All of our products undergo extensive, rigorous testing through third-party, independent labs for lead, BPA, phthalates, and other potentially harmful chemicals. In addition, we monitor and ensure the products meet or exceed the applicable domestic and international regulations, as they change from to time to time including those of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), state laws, and industry and additional corporate quality standards. Best, OXO

  • A: I easily remove the handle by unscrewing a few turns so it’s not present while cooking. I reattach it when cooking/steaming is finished to lift it from the pot.
