I bought the vanilla spice perfume for many years! But I won't buy it anymore after the new change in its scent. I can barely smell any vanilla now. It has an over powering musk smell, like a man's cologne, must be too much sandalwood. Please Pacific, bring back the original scent that actually smells like vanilla! Kathy Washington State

Love the cleaner ingredients and the scent. Reminds me of Santal 33. The only thing is it lasts less than an hour on clothes or skin so it’s kind of an overpriced body mist. Although I’ve had body mists last longer. Definitely skip the body mist version of this too, which lasts as long as 5 seconds.

Why did you change the formula, the original was my favorite
I have been buying the original version of this perfume before the reformulation for years-its a perfect sugary vanilla waffle cone fragrance that got so many complements, it was perfect! This new formulation is completely different, too woody and smoky and not similar to the original. Please bring back the OG, because I keep having to buy it from second hand marketplaces instead and its getting difficult to find.

Vanilla cake
I really like this fragrance to paire with my nest Madagascar vanilla perfume oil. It is an intoxicating vanilla and sugar fragrance. Smells similar to the Kayali 28 without the amber-ish smell. It's a nice simple sugar/vanilla fragrance that can mix well with other fragrances. Very gourmand and fresh vanilla cake vibe.

The old formula was amazing!! But the new one is very sickly sweet whereas before is was sweet but more complex. I wish they would bring back the old formula because it is a great product in the sense that it lasts a long time, the bottle (new and old) is beautiful, is a great value, and Pacifica is a company with great values. Its hard finding perfumes that aren't super out of my price range and are confirmed cruelty free! I would love to try some of their other perfumes, but it is hard to justify spending the money and paying for shipping (to Canada) without smelling them first!

Changed scent, not good
They changed the scent of this perfume when they changed the bottle and it sucks now. Not the same at all. This used to be my every day scent and now I will have to find another. Please change it back.

I'm really disappointed to say that the new Island Vanilla perfume is just a pale imitation of the old, much-loved version. I'm really sad to say that the "island" part got completely changed to a cookie scent. It would be totally fine if the perfume had a different name! The sillage is so intimate, even I can't smell anything from it after 10 minutes. I'm sorry to say that the new Hair and Body Mists have an even worse performance... I'd be really grateful if you could bring back the original versions of Island Vanilla and make French Lilac and Brazilian Mango andPersian Rose available again. I'm afraid that the current range is not quite up to the high standard of the legendary Pacifica perfumes. I'd love to see the old formulas back. It would be such a shame to lose my favourite perfumes forever.

Close to Cloud
I’m on the hunt for a Cloud by Ariana Grande dupe, this does smell very very similar to it. Very close. However, there’s the slightest twang of play dough to it that hits my senses when I first spray, which is off putting. I can’t smell the overall scent much after an hour. I definitely got compliments and asked what I was wearing with Cloud, but have yet to be noticed or asked when wearing this perfume. Maybe it needs to develop more in the bottle now that it’s been sprayed, but time will tell. (It’s only been a couple days). I just need to save up to get Cloud. lol overall, it’s a nice fragrance, fresh-clean and very similar to cloud. Just didn’t hit the target for me. But could for you!
