PANTENE PRO-V Smooth & Sleek 2in1 Shampoo and Conditioner, 12.0oz

Bought this one with the new pump style packaging and now there is a sticky residue that coats my brush even after i bought a new brush. Hair is stiffer and feels like it would knot easier and no longer light and smooth feeling. The ingredients are different then the smooth and sleek in the older style bottle so i assume they changed the formula. Had to switch brands which immediately got rid of the sticky residue left from the smooth and sleek in my hair.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have type 4 natural hair so I typically don’t use 2n1s, but I didn’t hate this one. I used it as a shampoo then deep conditioned. One thing to note is that I believe this product has sulfates in it which are an iffy topic for many people.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used this shampoo on a wig and it really softened it and I felt like it gave it more body, I personally wouldn't use this on my natural hair as I have curly hair but for wigs it works great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who has blonde, color treated hair, I use A LOT of moisturizing products. I was skeptical of a “2 in 1” product. I’ll begin by saying it smells great - fresh but also a little floral/sweet? Smells reminiscent of something I know, and like, but I can’t put my finger on it. Upon rinsing it out, my hair wasn’t as silky and tangle free as it usually is after other products and I was worried. However, after using my typical pre-blowout products my hair blow dried very quickly, with little to no frizz and was very smooth! Also smelled great- someone who hugged me a whole day after my shower even commented on how good my hair smelled. I ONLY buy salon products, so this was a lovely surprise to see something I can get at a reasonable price produce the same outcome as a much more expensive shampoo/conditioner duo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This smooth sleek pantene shampoo seems like a really nice affordable option! It smells very fresh and clean . Unfortunately this isnt the best fit for my hair texture since I have coarse curly hair but I think a lot of people would like this. I think this would be great for people with naturally straight hair looky to add silk and shine!

I say this because on my curly hair it was very drying and made my hair feel knotted. I don’t usually like 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioners because I feel like it does not do the job properly. This product did not change my mind on that opinion. However, some positives about the Pantene Smooth & Sleek is that it has a nice smell that is not over powering and the consistency of the product is creamy in your hands. With that being said I would not purchase this with my own money nor recommend it. The only reason my curls look hydrated in the photograph is because they are still wet, I used a deep conditioner (because my hair felt dry and brittle), and aloe vera gel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love Pantene and use it often. It’s affordable and a brand I’ve grown up with. My hair can be very problematic at times and turn into a frizzy mess if I’m not careful. Although product didn’t give the same results as a shampoo / thick hair mask that I do at times it worked well as a one-step wonder which is why I’m giving it 5 stars. Some days I just can’t do the whole routine so this product is a lifesaver.

I waited to right my review until I had used it more than a few times so I could see if there was any visible or textural difference in my hair. I’d definitely say my hair is softer and smoother than it was before; my roots were frizzier before I started using this. The scent is nice but it doesn’t last very long, so if you like your hair smelling nicer a day after washing it this isn’t gonna last that long. After using just this instead of my separate shampoo and conditioner, I started using this and then my old conditioner after, just to see if there’d be a difference. I definitely liked doing that more than just using this because my hair was shinier and less frizzy when I combined this with my conditioner, so I think from now on I’ll sub my old shampoo for this one and stick with my old conditioner even though this is a 2 in 1. I’d recommend this and I’ll continue using it, but I’ll probably alternate it with another shampoo.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] it's been a while since I've used a 2 in 1 product and I was pleasantly surprised by the smell and feel of the product. I have curly hair and have been using curly hair products and I could tell that it wasn't working extremely well on my hair. since it's a combo product, it made my hair slightly drier than I would like. If you needed a quick was and go it would do the job though.

The only problem is that it might clean it a bit too much? If it makes sense, my hair feels so dry afterwards. Since it’s color treated I need a bit of a hydrating shampoo so wouldn’t buy this for myself but maybe for my boyfriend!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This product is only okay. I believe that 2 and 1 products are bad for your hair. The texture of the soap is more liquid-y than you would want for conditioner. I have really curly hair but it wasn’t too bad for it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have curly hair and normally a 2 in 1 isn’t my type of shampoo cause I need conditioner, but surprisingly I did find it to leaving my hair really soft. And I even tried to comb through it with the shampoo on (it took a lot more patience than normal) but it worked. I slapped some leave in conditioner and my hair wasn’t hating it, my scalp on second hand did get a little dry irritation cause I was washing it with shampoo more than usual. But overall it was a good 2 in 1

I have yet to find a true 2 in 1 product that conditions well. I wpuld not buy again. It had a pleasant scent, light hints of pineapple and coconut.
