head & shoulders is awful for your hair & scalp. it leaves so much buildup in your hair & from what my hair dressers have told me in the past- it essentially doesn't let your natural oils leave your scalp to nourish your hair, instead it keeps the oils in your scalp to try and keep it "moisturized"

I use this for when my dandruff is noticible, but it always makes my eyes burn when I shampoo, condition and dry my hair. And it isn't like I am getting shampoo in my eyes, it just irritates my eyes for half the day after using. I might need a more gentle option.

We have seen that using too much product or using a product that is not suitable for your hair type can cause the hair to feel like there is build up after rinsing out all the product. You could try switching to a product more suitable to your hair type and needs and washing your hair more frequently to prevent a build-up of products. I'm impressed! Although, I don't have dandruff, I found myself using Head and Shoulders shampoo brand when visiting my brother for the weekend. Didn't realize I had forgotten to pack mine from home until I was literally about to hop in the shower. The only shampoo my brother had was Head and Shoulders. Was reluctant on using it because, as I mentioned previously, I don't have dandruff and I have color treated hair. I decided to Google it right quick just to see if it was safe to use on my hair while in a pinch and to my surprise it specifically said it's safe for color treated hair! I'm happy to say the outcome was excellent! My hair was happy!
