A: Sauder does not promote or support painting our furniture. Our decorative surfaces are finished with a clear coat that contains silicone waxes. These waxes are designed to resist adhesion of common household products like food and markers. By using silicone wax, paints and finishes will display adhesion problems that may lead to peeling, cracking and premature performance failure.

A: There is a static middle shelf in this cabinet, but the shelves above and below it are removable. The upper opening is 27 7/8" high, 16 3/4" wide, and 13 1/8" deep. The lower opening is 27 3/4" high, 16 3/4" wide, and 13 1/8" deep.

Ok, but wrong door direction
Looks nice. BUT THERE SHOULD BE AN OPTION TO REVERSE THE DIRECTION OF OF THE DOOR OPENING. As it is, the location where this cabinet door opens onto is a wall. I wished I could have had an option to reverse that opening, so the cabinet would open unto the open room, not a blank wall and right up against it. Unfortunately I cannot locate this cabinet anywhere else for the use it was bought for

Great quality and price
Instructions were easy to follow. I put together by myself. Took about an hour. Very happy with the quality and storage room it provides. Would definitely by another one if the need were to ever arise. You won't be disappointed 💯

Very nice cabinet with one caveat
The cabinet itself is great. The directions for putting it together…not so much. It went fairly smoothly until I attempted the door attachment. The screws that come with the hinges to attach the door to the cabinet do not work! They are flat bottomed metal screws that will not attach easily to the particle board. Highly recommend buying wood screws with 'points' on the end in the same length.

Needs better packaging!
One side arrived damaged due to poor packaging. There is foam on all 4 short sides, but none on the two broad sides of the box, which is of course where it got damaged. You need foam here! The product itself is ok, not great but not terrible for the price. The door is too flimsy for where the magnetic latch/catch is located, but I relocated it to the middle shelf and it seems to work better. Overall, it serves its purpose but its not high quality by any means.

The assembled product is nice and spacious. However, the initial shipment from Sauder.com had a crack in the front door. The replacement door had a crack in a different place. Third time's a charm.

The product is looks nice but is thin & flimsy.
It was hard to put together because the stamped letters were hard to read in the particle board. Letter and arrow stickers would have been better. It was so flimsy that it was hard to screw the screws into the boards and the door was really hard to screw on. Once we got it together it looked nice but definitely need to secure to the wall because it is so light weight and can fall over easy.
