Awful lead
The lead is EXTREMELY light. I compared it to a BIC mechanical pencil and the difference was huge. I wrote as hard as I could and it looked like I was trying to lightly shade something. I bought them specifically because I remember the lead used to be great. Really dark and durable. But the last time I bought these was about 6 years ago and the quality has really gone down. Like I said, I compared it to a regular BIC pencil and the other one was like 3 times as dark. You have to really make an effort for things to even be readable. If you like the feel of these pencils try to find different lead. Almost any other brand will be better

Makes a great long term product if handled carefully and properly!
Easy and comfortable to hold. Adjustable eraser just makes better use of the entire eraser. Product is lighter than most gripped lead pencils. Product is also reusable, making it great for long term use. Great part is it only takes a finger to adjust lead to continue writing if there is still some lead in the pencil. If the pencil came with 0.9mm lead which is specifically compatible, then the price would be worth it due to the product price even when tax is added.

Too light! Breaks!
Lead breaks and breaks. The graphite of the pencils is very light and I don’t like the way it feels on paper when writing. Eraser turns itself when trying to erase. Lasted a day, frustration is all these came with. Where are the good pens and pencils now days???

Horrible
Just bought for my middle schooler, and within 2 weeks all of the pencils have broken parts. Lead also breaks way too easily. Just threw them all away. Will never buy again.

Paper Mate profile mech 0.7 pencil
Overall I like this mechanical pencil. However, I'm very disappointed that only half the eraser is able to be used. When my eraser was down to the plastic I pulled the other half of the eraser forward to use the other half and it pushes back in and can't be used. Very wasteful and annoying.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Papermate's clearpoint mechanical pencils are dependable and work great. I like this set because they give you extra erasers and lead if needed. I use this for paperwork and the lead doesn't break all the time.
