Q: How do you reload new lead into the Pencil--I must be stupid
A: Hi, Tex! To refill the lead of Paper Mate Clearpoint Mechanical Pencil, unscrew the top of the barrel (colored part of the pencil) and insert the new lead. Screw the top portion of the barrel back. Click the pencil a few times to advance the lead.

Lead can be loaded through the back of the pencil by removing the clip. Simply pull out the clip (which holds the eraser) to add lead into the lead refill tube.

Q: Are the erasers on the mechanical pencils latex free?
A: The package doesn't state if it is or not. It says the erasers are made in Korea.
