PATTERN Paddle Hair Brush - Ulta Beauty

I was excited about this paddle brush as I have been with all Pattern hair brushes and combs. This one however, was a huge let down. Not even a month in and already unglued. I am upset I even wasted my money on it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I hate to admit it, but I’ve got a brush collection that borders on excessive, and yet, this one’s still in rotation. I use different brushes for different purposes, and this one earns its spot thanks to its heat resistance. It’s a blowout essential that handles the heat.

I bought this after my Dyson paddle brush, it lasted about 3 months with here and there usage. Ended up caving in on itself? I thought it might be sturdy since it the build looks thicker then other brushes out there, I did look. I feel ripped off.

I have very dense 3b hair and this got through it like butter when it was dry and wet, for a time. However, after less than six months the handle became completely separated from the cushion and was rendered entirely unusable. I bought this brush hoping that it would last longer against my hair because it was designed for curly hair but alas, my hair has claimed another brush before it’s time. TLDR; Good brush if your hair is medium-light density, NOT if it’s very dense.

I’ve been using the Mixed Chicks paddle brush for years and wanted to try this one to see if I liked it better. While I do appreciate the way it enhances my curl pattern, just as good as Mixed Chicks, just a different pattern. I’ve had some issues with it. The “bristles” come out easily, and my hair often snags and gets pulled due to the little balls at the ends of the “bristles”. I have 3B curls, and while my Mixed Chicks brush rarely snags (every blue moon), this brush snags my hair every time I use it. I do mean every single time. After over a year of trying it, I’ve decided to stop using it. It’s frustrating to deal with constant snags, and my hair being pulled out. That said, I love Pattern’s products overall—just not this paddle brush.

The brush worked okay for about 1 month; recently while using it, the whole brush separated from the holder. I tried to push it back on, it just comes right back out everytime I try to use it. I tossed it

While the brush worked great at first, after about a month of use, the whole bristle pad is continuously coming out of the brush. Essentially cannot be used anymore as each time I brush through any tangles, the pad comes out and I have to push the whole pad back in. Disappointed that it didn’t last very long for the price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In between my protective styles, I wear a ponytail or a washing go. This brush is fantastic for pulling it back in a ponytail or brushing my edges for a washing go until I refined it with edge controller brush.

I am now on my second brush. While I love the sturdiness of this brush at first, when first used with high heat, the bristles retract into the brush, and become warped, the paint on the brush melts. I am giving it 3-stars because I love everything pattern and without heat it's great, but not for high heat usage. It needs to be improved or that tag should be removed from description.
