PATTERN Detangling Nectar - 12 fl oz - Ulta Beauty

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is great for fine 3B/3C hair! My hair needs a lot of moisture and tangles easily. Using this has really cut my detangling time in half. The comb glides through my hair. I like that the smell is very light and that it’s not too heavy on my hair. I can’t use the leave in cream because it’s too heavy but this is perfect. I’ve been following up with the styling custard for hold and I’ve been really happy with my results!

I have type 4a, high porosity hair. Detangling is the bane of my existence. THIS STUFF IS MAGIC. It has a very slimy gel texture, but it melts through tangles like nothing else. I had my crochet braids in for 6 weeks recently and did not shampoo like I should've (I'm a working mom of a toddler, life's crazy!) so the gel and shed hair had formed all these knots throughout my hair. I couldn't get a comb or brush through out. After using this, I was able to get most of them out with my fingers and the rest came out with my Tangle Teezer brush without ripping out a bunch of my other hair with it. The only downside is that I don't care for the smell- it doesn't linger but when you put it on, it's very strong. However, I was also using a lot of product due to the circumstances. On a regular wash day, I would probably need half the amount or less. Lastly, since my hair is high porosity I found that this product absorbs and dries quickly. But applying water to your hair will reactivate it, no need to keep layering on more.

The Detangling Nectar helps break-down product build-up and the extra slip is amazing for detangling knots within my coils. Detangling nectar helps me stop breakage when detangling. This product has helped my hair from shedding and helped with my length retention! I/WE need this in JUMBO! Love you Tracee!

The minute I put the detangler on my hair, it felt like it sucked all the moisture that the hydration shampoo and conditioner just added. My hair immediately tightened, and it was very difficult to comb through. I feel like the hydration conditioner serves as a better detangler for my hair.

This left my hair so knotted that I had to cut the knots out after. I only used it once and will return it. I tried it after my regular conditioner, which is a decent detangler, hoping to make my life easier. I was so wrong. I have fine 4C hair

This is harsh, but I absolutely hated this product. I bought this for detangling my son's coily hair, and it actually made it more tangled. Did I get a bad batch or something? I'm baffled that so many gave this a good review. I've been pleased with the other many products I've bought from this line, but this was NOT IT. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with a large bottle.
