The accelerator pedal has automatic brakes. The 2-speed shifter with reverse allows them to drive at 2 1/2 or 5 mph on grass, dirt or hard surfaces. Parents appreciate the 5 mph speed lockout that prevents beginners from going too fast and the adjustable bucket seats that allows them to use it year after year. 12-volt rechargeable battery and recharger included. My kids age 3 1/2 and almost 2 love this power wheel ride on. They have been driving it around every chance they get. It's made ok obviously not built to last forever, but the battery is a joke. We picked this up for our granddaughter when it was on sale. Our neighbor owns a auto paint shop, so we changed it to pink camo. The vehicle is easy to use and at 3 she is able to drive it and reverse back. She loves it and I would definitely recommend this! This was a great investment to my household. We’ve had ours for 4 years. It’s still going but starting to make a grinding noise but I got my money’s worth out of that one.
