honestly i was pretty disappointed upon receiving this. i really wanted to like this tree because of its ocean theme but it really is only good for decoration. my cat isn't very big, she's only 7 lbs & 8 months old and this tree was difficult for her to comfortably navigate. the picture is misleading as all of the platforms are pretty small as well as crowded with the bed attachments. the basket is also very shallow & small. i really tried to convince myself this tree was a good choice but save your money & get something more practical instead!

My cats absolutely love it, it has even positively affected their behavior bring out their "inner kitten"On to the actually cat tree, it was a quick build. I did it alone while watching TV, I only needed the included tools to put it together and I think it at most took me an hour to build.My cat did spend lots of time on the very top shelf.
