Philips Avent Natural Response baby bottle nipple lets babies control the pace of the milk, like they do when breastfeeding. The nipple's unique opening and tip only release milk when your baby actively drinks. When pausing to swallow and breathe no milk flows. Baby can drink, swallow, and breathe using their natural rhythm.
Easily combine breast and bottle feeding with a wide breast-shaped nipple that mimics the soft feel of a breast. The nipple has a no-drip design which helps prevent lost milk from the tip. An anti-colic valve integrated into the nipple is designed to reduce colic and discomfort by sending air away from your baby's tummy.

Baby controls the flow like the breast so it feels a lot more natural than a traditional bottle. Since the nipple is wide they are very very easy to clean and milk doesn’t get stuck in it, which is a PLUS! The best part is that they don’t drip! You can hold the bottle upside down and not one drop of milk will come out, it’s amazing!

So when I received this product from the Stellar Product Testing Panel I was a little nervous. But the first time using it, my son drank his whole bottle without any issues. It was amazing and I couldn’t believe it. We have continued to use it without any problems. It cleans and sterilizes well and it withstands my son’s new “biting” phase.

I’ve been so anxious as my little one has not been great at the bottle after being exclusively breast fed. She took to the wide neck nipple fairly quickly and this was the first bipolar I feel that she didn’t either struggle to drink or choke on. I’d say it was definitely a short learning curve and she seemed comfortable fairly quickly, but she did actively have to suck which I prefer. The nipples are soft and pliable and easy to clean and I feel like in can scrub in there without the fear that they will puncture or rip. I will say, even after handwashing they did cloud up a bit. Overall, I really liked this product particularly as we enter the era of more bottles!

Stellar panel sent us the Philips avent natural response nipples to try, and they have been great for my 10 month old primarily breastfed daughter. We still use bottles occasionally, and the flow of the size 5 Philips nipple has been just right for her. As a parent, my favorite feature is the no drip tip. My daughter does get a little messy with other nipples and usually ends up with milk all over herself. Somehow that isn’t the case with these! They are also amazingly leakproof, she can toss the bottle all around and I never have to worry about any drips or leaks. If you’re looking for a solid, effective, and easy to care for nipple, this is it!

One was exclusively pump & bottle fed (he never was able to latch) and my second was supplemented with formula after 7 months. Each time the Avent bottles and nipples were a success. The control the flow nipples work well, especially for a baby switching from exclusively breast fed (at least in my case). They are also easy to clean, and I’m able to put them in the top shelf of my dishwasher and they hold up well. Overall, we love the Avent brand, in my experience they put out quality and safe baby products. I did receive this product as part of the Stellar Product Testing Panel.

He was able to use the size 3 really well but I also got to test the size 5 and I think he actually preferred the size 5 better & it didn’t even drip out when you put the bottle upside down like most bottles will come flowing out but surprisingly with it being the fastest flow it’s in it. My son also took to this bottle very easily and he is the type that won’t even switch the brand of pacifiers (so that’s saying a lot lol) I feel like this nipple is really easy to clean , 1. because it has its own events built in so you don’t need a separate vent for the bottle which is amazing that you have less bottle pieces to clean which I know Mom’s everywhere approved of lol & 2. Even with there being little vents in the nipple itself, I feel like the vents don’t really get clogged up with milk so it’s just very easy to clean like you don’t need to special tool to clean inside those vents even though they’re tiny. I was really surprised that my son was able to stop and drink ,and take breaths in between , even while using the fastest flow. My son is eight months old, but I do feel like he probably could’ve used this fastest flow (size 5) maybe around six months or so. I would definitely recommend trying this size nipple set , even if you’re like me and think that that’s just way too fast I promise you it’s not just give it a try!

My baby has always struggled with finding the right nipple flow. Even the premie were too fast for her at the beginning! But I think it was due to the fact that milk would flow when she wasn’t even pulling and would choke. I love that these do not flow unless she is actively feeding. The wide base nipple is very easy to clean. I do wish there was a little more slope to promote a better latch but my baby did okay going from breast to bottle and I think that’s mainly due to the flow being so natural.

These bottle nipples are unique in the sense that don’t leak and milk only flows with active sucking so my infant was able to control the pace to a point. The BPA free plastic is good quality and held up well in our bottle sterilizer. It was also really easy to clean. The wide shape and feel was also a plus to help prevent nipple confusion. However, I don’t think the flow rate was appropriate for my 3 month old and he swallowed too much too fast. He probably would have done much better with a level 2 or 3 for his size and development. I would be willing to try a different flow if the opportunity arose. I do really like the concept of milk only flowing with active sucking with these bottle nipples.

I tried the Avent Natural Response Nipple Set and honestly, I was really happy with it. The flow was just right, not too fast or too slow. It was super easy to clean and sanitize, which is a big plus for me. My baby had no problem adjusting to it at all and seemed to have really good control over the milk flow. I didn’t notice any leaks or mess, and feeding time just felt a little smoother overall. Definitely something I’ll be keeping in rotation.

This nipple works great for my 1 year old, who enjoys drinking pumped breast milk and cow’s milk from her bottle. I appreciate the no-drip tip, which both helps prevent messes while she is drinking and helps prevent spills if the bottle gets tipped over accidentally. My daughter is able to drink at her own pace and take breaks from drinking without the milk spilling out of the nipple. The flow seems to be appropriate for her, as she has not had any frustration or choking while feeding. The nipple is soft and mimics a human nipple well, which is important for my daughter who is also breast fed. It is very easy to clean and seems very durable. I also appreciate that the size of the nipple is clearly marked on it (not the case with all brands). I am overall very satisfied with this nipple.

We've tried many brands and this is the only one our son latched too without having a hard time transitioning from breast to bottle. We love that it is activated by the suckling and doesn't leak out the tip. It is super easy to clean by hand and or sterilize. We love the longevity of this nipple compared to other brands, it holds up after soo many cycles through our sterilizer. We like that it has a little air vent in the nipple to allow air to be released to prevent gas build up/bubbles. I know every baby is different, but this particular nipple is something I feel every parent should at least try.

It was the perfect flow pace for my son - he could drink sitting up or lying down without any trouble. The tip of the nipple wasn’t the easiest to clean, but I’ve never found a nipple that was easier to clean- so this is definitely at the top. I loved that I just never had to think about or worry about these nipples- they didn’t drip or leak and they were durable and perfect for my child. I was also very impressed with how easy they were to use (swap out of the bottle spout) and clean. My baby girl had exclusively used Dr Browns bottles and took to this nipple and bottle seemlessly. Great experiance and will be purchasing more as well as recommending!
