Description

The Philips Avent Fast Baby Bottle Warmer SCF358/00 is an easy way to make mealtime more comfortable for baby. It gently heats a 5 ounce bottle in as few as 3 minutes. Milk circulates continuously while it's warming, so the warmer - unlike a microwave - won't cause hot spots. The warmer can be used not only to warm milk, but also to defrost frozen breast milk and baby food. It is compatible with all Philips Avent bottles, bottles from most other leading brands, and baby food jars. The Philips Avent Fast Baby Bottle Warmer allows you to set it and forget it! Sensors automatically adjust the heating pattern for different milk volumes and starting temperatures, so the warmer hits the right temperature every time with the push of a button. It also keeps milk warmed to the desired temperature for up to 60 minutes. After 60 minutes it automatically shuts off to prevent overheating, giving you peace of mind if you get distracted or fall asleep after a late night feeding. The front panel is intuitive and easy to read with clear guidance on setting by milk volume for accurate results. A progress light lights up in three segments, indicating the warming progress and when milk is ready. The warmer is compact so it's easy to store on a kitchen counter or bedside table for nighttime feedings. Always test milk or food temperature before giving to babies. If you're using a silicone bottle, add 3 - 4 minutes to warming time. *Warms 5 ounces of milk in 3 minutes.

Q: Does this work with Comotomo bottles?

submitted by NikkiT - 4 years ago
  • A: Yes. I own both Browns, Avents, Comotomo and MAM. All work, but milage may vary on settings needed for warming. Comotomo's silicone takes a bit to warm up, so follow instructions and letting the bottle sit in the bath for 2-4 minutes additional to warm it up.

Hi Judy, Thanks for sharing your review regarding the Philips Avent Bottle Warmer. We are sorry to hear about your experience with the product. As you are experiencing the bottle warmer taking too long to warm, please check if it has been used twice in a row. If you want to warm another bottle right away, please follow these steps. Fill the bottle warmer with fresh, cold water, and let the bottle warmer cool down for a few minutes. The progress indicated should flash gradually again, indicating the bottle warmer is heating again. Also, note that if you change the setting after 20 seconds, the bottle warmer will switch to the keep warm setting. To ensure the warming setting warms milk to the correct temperature, you can only change the setting within 20 seconds after you switch the bottle warmer on. We hope this will improve your experience. However, if the issue still persists, please get in touch via Social Media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and X. Don’t worry, if you don’t use Social Media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: www.Philips.com/contact. Hope to speak to you soon. Kind regards, Philips Consumer Care

Overall this bottle warmer worked great. I only wish it had a completion time for when the bottle was done. This is especially important for when we're thawing out milk bags, because it takes so long they're easy to forget about. I also wish the plug was a flat style so it doesn't stick off the backsplash as far. These are just small details that I think would have made this product exceptional, but it still work great.

This is garbage. Inconsistent warming. Dialed my 5ounce bottle to 7, it’s SLIGHTLY warm. Yesterday, same bottle, same volume, same dial adjusted to 7, milk was SCALDING. I look forward to my LO not needing to drink milk anymore as I can’t wait to toss this in with the rest of our trash.

Hi there, Thanks for sharing your review regarding the Philips Avent Bottle Warmer. We are sorry to hear that you are not getting the consistent temperature. Please try the below-mentioned steps to get an accurate temperature. We recommend using room-temperature water for the best results when filling your bottle warmer. Base the water level and setting on the amount of milk in the bottle, not the bottle's capacity. In most cases, filling your bottle warmer with water to slightly above the level of milk in the bottle is sufficient. When warming a large amount of milk, fill the bottle warmer to 1cm/0.4in below the rim. Place the bottle into your bottle warmer, and then fill it with water. Adding the bottle after switching on the device will alter the final milk temperature. Also note that the heating times are based on polypropylene bottles. Glass bottles may heat more quickly, while silicone bottles heat more slowly. When using a silicone bottle, allow it to warm for 3–4 additional minutes after the warming cycle. We hope this is useful. If the issue still persists, please get in touch via Social Media. We’re available on Facebook (@Philips) and X. Don’t worry, if you don’t use Social Media, you can also reach out to us via the contact page: www.Philips.com/contact. Hope to speak to you soon. Kind regards, Philips Consumer Care

Disappointed - 3 months ago, Verified purchaser
Like others said, it is easy to use as one can pick the size and let it run. However, it is not consistent in temperature as some bottles take one cycle and others take two. This is true even with the same size bottle and same temperature setting which is super frustrating and constantly causes extra wait times for my baby to eat meaning more fuss. Even the auto shut off barely works! It has one job and is way overpriced for being unable to do it right.

It was wonderful for the first week or so except we noticed it took much longer than the advertised 3 minutes to warm our baby’s bottles. We could deal with that though! At least until after about a week when we had to start putting our 3 ounce bottles in the warmer at least 2 times to get it even remotely warm and they still weren’t as warm as they should have been. So if you want to buy a new bottle warmer every week, this is the one for you!

Not safe. When used as intended, this bottle warmer heats milk up to scalding hot. I’m order to achieve a safe result, I have to constantly test the milk temperature and take it out of the warmer early AND set at a lower ounce setting than recommended. Do not buy this.
