Philips Avent Natural First Flow nipples paired with Philips Avent Natural newborn baby bottles make a perfect set for gentle drinkers who may not have strong sucking power. First Flow nipples are made of soft, durable silicone, which is safe, odorless and flavorless. An ultra-soft, wide nipple promotes natural latch-on so you can easily combine breastfeeding and bottle feeding. It Mimics the feel of the breast and comforts your baby. The flexible spiral design combined with the comfort petals allows for a natural movement while your baby feeds. It was designed to reduce colic and discomfort by venting air away from your baby's tummy. Philips Avent Natural nipples should be used with the Philips Avent Natural bottle. When it's time, continue with the Natural Response Baby Bottle and medium flow nipple (Flow 3; SCY963/04) as your baby grows and strengthens the sucking power. However, we recommend that parents ultimately make decisions based on the observations of their baby.

Trying a slower flow
Just this week i bought these bottles that came with the 1m+ flow and the flow was way to much for my three month old who has been bottle fed since birth. just a minute after eating he threw up just about all of it, and he's never done that before. I am going to try the 0m nipples in hopes that I can still use these bottles, but so far I am not happy with our experience.

Both of my children loved these
I have used these nipples with both of my children and they work great. I did a combination of breast/bottle fed and never experienced any nipple confusion or issues.

Great air free vent
After waiting 7 years to have my 3rd child, I realized that there are so many options available when it come to bottles. I remembered the struggle with my other kids when it came to transitioning from breast to bottle. I’m glad there’s a huge variety available and that I was able to try the new Advent anti- bottle. After using the bottle, I noticed my baby has a preference for a more flattened tip on the nipple. He is also a very fast eater, and although the nipple says newborn, the flow was pretty strong. I really liked the air free vent and how it allows the nipple to be full of milk at the tip. My baby did not experience colic after using the bottle. He is still fairly new at taking a bottle, but I will continue to try out other advent nipples, as I felt this may not have been the right one for him. Leaky Nipples = Disappointed Mom
I used the Avent Natural bottles and nipples with my son last year (2017). I loved them. However, I threw all of the nipples away to replace them for our new baby. The nipple texture is different and it is no longer a tight fit in to the white cap. It constantly leaks if you shake it, tip it, etc. It’s very frustrating to be constantly wiping the bottle down so it doesn’t drop on me or the baby. Please go back to the old nipples or fix the new nipples so they create a tighter seal! I see there is another review stating this same issue and the response was that it wasn’t properly assembled. I can assure you I am properly assembling the bottle after doing so thousands of times. Please test the nipple and bottle with milk it in and you’ll see that it doesn’t create the seal and leaks everywhere.

New nipple is terrible
I’ve used these bottles and nipples for four babies. The new nipples were created poorly. They leak, they are fast flowing, they are thinner and not as sturdy as the old nipples. They also make a mess and giving my baby gas.

I WANT THE OLD NIPPLES BACK!!!
I’ve used Avent bottles on all 3 of my babies but with the third baby, his nipples are the swirling ones and it’s ALWAYS DRIPPINGGGGGGGGG on the sides. every time I shake it it drips! Every time he drinks, it drips! Not sure why and how. But I do not like

When assembling, be sure to pull the nipple up so that it’s flush with the rest of the bottle. i like this product but i did buy a set of these bottles and 2 out 3 worked one of the bottles i cant seem to get the nipple to stop leaking around the rim and i was using it and before i know my baby was soaked i payed for them but only got two that worked

Full disclosure, our baby hasn't had too much difficulty taking a bottle, even with exclusive breast feeding. For date nights, we leave the baby with a family/friend and he gets the bottle. He hasn't met a bottle that he has had difficulty with. Thankful we got to try this Avent natural first flow nipple thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel! But with that said, he took to the Avent Natural Baby Bottle and First Flow Nipple like a champ. Since we tried the nipple when he was about 6 months old, I did feel like it got a little slow for him at times. I do think having different nipple flow options are great. Especially if the baby has gas/colic troubles or will go from breast fed to bottle fed, back and forth. This nipple was a great option for the times the baby was less in the mood for vigorous feeding. It didn't cause additional gas from bottle feeding and it didn't disrupt my exclusive breast feeding. All in all, whether bottle fed exclusively or bottle and breast fed, this nipple is great!

Nice nipples
I received the Phillips Avent Natural First Flow Nipple in exchange for a review from weeSpring Parent Panel. Much the same as their bottles, these nipples are a great choice. They're easy to use and clean, and are of a trusted brand. As a first time mom to a seven month old, those are all important aspects when I'm looking to buy something for my daughter. All in all, they are easy to use and my daughter has enjoyed her milk from them.

Unique and effective
We received this set and were so excited to try then because my daughter stopped taking her bottle suddenly (she is ebf) it has been difficult to find one that doesn't upset her reflux. These were one of the few she'd actually try! She got no colicky symptoms from them. In the end, we got another, similar set, and are using these with them!

This is my second baby, so I had some of the older Avent bottles around along with some other brands. You know how it goes with babies, you have to try different bottles and nipples to find the perfect fit for your baby. She did not like any of the bottles we had on hand but really liked the Natural First Flow nipple. She would never take a bottle from me (typical breastfed baby) and I didn’t push. But she took it very well for my husband. He liked the ease of use (“not too fiddly”) and said it was comfortable in his hand. These are our go-to nipples when I can’t be there.

Happy Baby!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We started our 2 month old EBF daughter with the 0+ nipple in preparation for her transition to daycare. After a few feeds, she began to happily take the bottle with some spitting up but no noticeable change in gas so the anticolic vents seem to work well. We tried the size 1 nipple after a few weeks and she adapted quickly and we haven’t had any spit up after she takes the bottle. I received the bottles that include size 0+ Nipples and an additional package of size 1 nipples as part of the weeSpring parent panel. I was glad to have the next size nipple on hand. The nipples are easy to clean and I love that I can easily see what size the nipple is because it’s printed right on the top of the nipple in large font. Good for young infants.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This nipple was excellent as far as design. It is complimentary to breastfeeding, and my infant has been very particular taking a pacifier or bottle. We have tried a number of bottles and being a primary breastfed infant, I did not want this to have negative effects. So, this was a good fit. The length of the nipple did not cause him to gag or choke. He was able to finish his feedings in a normal amount of time, and there was little to no drooling or spilling of breast milk from the bottle. Our baby has also been a tough one to burp, so I worried when needing to use a bottle for feedings. We found that he did not suck in much more air and was able to burp fine after feedings. I would however mention that my infant is a good and active eater and the flow rate was perfect when he was in his first couple months. He has since grown out of this rate and over three months needs a faster flow rate. They are easy to clean and we will use this kind in the next flow rates. We appreciate weeSpring Parent Panel for these nipples. It is nice to have extra nipples in your bottling supplies.
