Q: Does this require blade oil? I think the more expensive series 9000 requires blade oil so I don't know if this one does?

    Wear your glasses when setting the desired length

    The product is excellent and works perfectly. My only real issue is with how you set how long you want the hair to be on your beard. If you a shortsighted, and aren't wearing your glasses, it is very difficult to set the length. The first time I used it I set it on .2mm instead of 2mm.

    Absolutely Perfect. Great value for money.

    This is a replacement for a similar Philips product bought a number of years ago. These are very reliable, long battery life, precise beard trimmers which I also sometimes use as clippers. Excellent product at great value.

    Not a good one for fine cut

    This is the worst Phillip’s trimmer I ever bought with huge price It’s not cutting the beard at proper shape , all my daily cut goes uneven . Unsatisfied, planning to go for Hawl trimmer

However, we suggest you try these suggestions to see if you can fix the issue. It is important that the trimming or cutting comb on your groomer be securely fastened to the body of the tool. The groomer could malfunction or produce unsatisfactory results if the attachments are not installed properly. If you press the groomer too hard against your scalp or skin, you may accidentally change the settings to high or low or apply uneven pressure. Uneven clipping may arise from this. Ensure your groomer is in complete contact with your skin and moves it steadily and softly for the greatest trimming experience. Make sure to trim your hair against the grain for the finest results. Trimming wet hair is more challenging since it tends to stick to your skin and the blade may miss it. As a result, we suggest trimming your hair only after it has dried completely. There could be a variety of attachments for your hair and beard included with your Philips Groomer. It is important to use the correct attachment on the corresponding area. Not all beard trimmers are fully optimized to groom very long beards (>10mm) and more strokes are needed for ideal results. We hope this information was helpful.     Works great but one major defect

    [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The product looked perfect for what I wanted it for and came with several useful attachments. The problem is the edge of the blades themselves are sharp and can nick you if you're not careful. Not talking about where the hairs go in to get clipped but the outside corners and other areas that touch your skin when you use it. Especially in sensitive areas.

    Beard length adjuster broke

    Worked fine for a year, then one day the beard length adjuster wheel broke without warning. Found out the hard it wasn't cutting at the right length when the trimmer cut my beard at a 0 size instead of 10.
