Tastes off tried it twice

I rarely like reviews but these were actually pretty good. Don’t understand what other people are talking about, honestly. It’s salt and PEPPER calamari it’s supposed to be peppery with this texture. As for the price, I’d rather pay more for calamari. Anything cheaper would be kinda sus.

Expensive, small portions way too much black pepper. They trick you with 2 heavy sauces to make the box feel heavy.

For the cost it's not worth it. Got less than a handful of calamari pieces.

I cooked these salt and pepper calamari in the air fryer. I preheated the air fryer for 5 minutes, then put the calamari inside on 400 degrees and set the timer to 6 minutes. With 2 minutes left, I checked the calamari and they were golden brown; so, I turned the air fryer off and let them sit in there for a couple minutes. Then I plated them, and tasted them. Taste: Wow! These are peppery more than anything else. There is a hint of onion and garlic in the background, but minimal. Honestly, I’m a fan of pepper so I loved this. Then I tried them with the sweet chili pineapple sauce and BLEH! They do not pair well with that at all. The pineapple sauce is super sweet, but maybe it would be okay with fried spring rolls. I dunno, but either way, I just didn’t use it. The calamari don’t need the sauce anyway. They are good on their own. I made the entire box ( supposedly 2.5 servings) just for me. The photo I posted is after I’d eaten about 1/3 - 1/2 of the 2.5 servings. Honestly, I could have stopped eating at about 2 servings in, but I don’t like leftover seafood, so I ate all of it. Texture: Having cooked it in the airfryer, and making sure I took it out at the right time, meant this came out perfect! The breading was crisp, and the calamari was soft. I read other reviews that said it was greasy or rubbery. I found neither to be the case, which is somewhat surprising because a lot of times, calamari is rubbery. But I believe mine wasn’t because I didn’t over cook it. Ingredients: I appreciate that this doesn’t seem to have any bad ingredients, specifically the sauce doesn’t have HFCS. Overall, I’m pleased with this as a meal, but not the price of $8.99 (that’s like restaurant pricing for this dish), nor the sauce. But I would get this again.

Tasted very rubbery and the outer shell was like wet and gooey.

They’re crispy, flakey and I enjoy them. The flavor is nice and light as well

They were… okay. They were fairly peppery. I don’t remember if I used the oven or air fryer to make them.

very small portion and they were a greasy rubbery Chewy mess , no flavor. Hope I don’t get food poisoning like some of the other reviewers said wish I would’ve read the reviews before I ate them. 🤢🤮

Very small portions with crumbs. 2pks of sauce is unnecessary for the amount of calamari. The weight and portions size is not accurate.

If you look at the portion, this product is completely overpriced.

But to fond of the seasoning, too but black pepper. Also, a tab too gummy, I followed I the air fryer directions

Barely anything in the package for about $9. Disappointed.

Kid loves calamari but not this one. We cooked in the air fryer and unfortunately it was very gummy

I loved it..however I didn’t try it with the sauce the portion size is for one person but it was so worth it coming out of the air fryer 😍

Nothing at all like the image on the box. We were expecting small calamari rings and what was in the box were as big as onion rings. They mere also very chewy. Just not a pleasant experience.

Not worth $8.99 for the amount you get in the box this was suppose to be an appetizer for a party this was enough for one person to eat. It tastes great but the amount is not enough

the breading and seasoning on the calamari was great but that is the only good thing about them. It is a super small portion, barely enough in the box for one person. It comes with a pineapple salsa sauce which is fine on its own but doesn’t pair well with the calamari so you will need to have your own marinara on hand. The calamari is super rubbery and hard to bite.

These are fantastic! Especially in the air fryer. It doesn't come with a lot so the price value is just okay but they are very delicious, fresh, crunchy and not chewy whatsoever.

I paid $8.99 for this! What a rip off! It’s only enough for 1 person and it said 2.5 people.
