Summary of reviews
The product has received mixed feedback from guests, with many expressing disappointment in the recent changes to the recipe and quality. While some guests appreciate the convenience and ease of use, others have noted issues with texture, flavor, and packaging. The crusts are often described as tough, fragile, and lacking the flakiness that was once a hallmark of the brand. Despite these concerns, some guests still find value in using the crusts for quick meal preparations.

Does crumble easily :( but tastes amazing! Obviously you can’t beat homemade crusts. But I didn’t have time so I grabbed these and Made two Punkin pies for thanksgiving and they were a hit :)
Cracked thin & broken. I had to thaw then out and try to smash the dough to fix all the cracks.

Nice looking pie crust HOWEVER each pie I baked stuck to the pan sides. The crinkle sides somehow hold the dough after baking and not one slice is able to be removed as a single piece. So frustrating!

I have been purchasing these pie crusts for over 25 years. Lately, the pie crust separates from the pie - complete circle crust edge separates. Not sure why this happens - same quiche recipe. Makes a complete mess when cutting and serving. This has also happened to my sister. Going to have to switch brands.

OMG!!! My sweet potato pies are a mess this year. I am so disappointed in Pillsbury. I made 4 pies for Thanksgiving with the intent of giving a few away. However the crust is fallen apart and crumbling all over the place when you try to cut the pies. It's also sticking to the pans. Im too embarrassed and ashamed to give any of them away now. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BUY THIS MESS. Just fyi...I purchased the deep dish and the regular. They both do the exact same thing....crumble and fall apart. I thought Pillsbury was reputable whereas I just knew I was getting top of the line....Fooled me. Don't waste your time people. You've been warned!!!!

It came cracked, so I patched it up when it thawed. It looked all patched up for parbaking at 400°F per the instruction on the package. After taking it out of the oven, there were so many cracks on the bottom and the side that both pie crusts were unusable. I’m so disappointed and sad I wasted money on this just to have to toss it away. Also, they use lard as an ingredient, so be mindful if you’re serving this to folks who can’t consume lard. I wish we could submit pictures because when I say there will many cracks, there were MANY.

What the heck? I've always bought Pet Ritz pie crust. For Thanksgiving 2024, I made a sweet potato pie, I prebaked the crust for 15 minutes, poured in the filling, baked it for 1 hour at 350°, the crust edge never browned and the crust tasted like it never baked. I tried 1 piece and it all went to the garbage. I was really disappointed. I made brownies at the same time so it's not my oven.

I’m not sure if they changed the recipe, but this was kind of disgusting. There was no flake, and it tasted like cardboard. It’s also a pain to use because it cracks so easily and and doesn’t brown nicely, just burns.

Your pie crusts are awful now. What a disappointment after so many years of wonderful Pet Ritz crusts. The current crusts are tasteless, thin, and have a stale texture. As far as I'm concerned, it ruined my pies and I will have to look for a different brand. You should bring back the Pet Ritz recipe!

Greedy corporations strike again, last year I noticed the dough thinning out but this year both of the packages I bought were so thin they were either broken or in the case of one, you could see the foil underneath because the dough was so thin. Useless product.

The taste and texture are the worst I’ve ever had. This is the equivalent of sheetrock., disgusting! Pillsbury did themselves a disservice by discontinuing the Pet Ritz recipe which was exceptional for a store bought crust & nothing like this one. Little did I realize when I purchased that it was not the pet ritz. The packaging almost identical minus the pet ritz label. I thought the company had come to their senses and streamlined to just that one. I can’t believe they sell such a horrible productDo your research when in a pinch and needing a premade crust or make your own.
