Q: I've recently gotten into skin care and was wondering if buying this product and the Vitamin C serum would be too much of vitamin C for my skin? I would use the Vitamin C serum every other day in the am, but is that still too much?

A:Â The Hydrating Milky Serum and Vitamin C Serum can be used daily or as needed in the AM or PM. If using together you can use the Vitamin C Serum first followed by the Hydrating Milky Serum. If you would not like to use two serums at a time, you can use the Vitamin C Serum in the AM and Hydrating Milky Serum in the PM. These products are amazing and compliments every beauty routine!

Q: I've recently been prescribed a retinol cream for acne, which really dries out my skin. I'm searching for an extra boost of hydration, could this be used every night and okay with retinol products?

A: I would think so since it’s for hydration. I also use Retin A. My dermatologist told me I can either put a moisturizer on top of the Retin A or just mix them together and then apply. It’s easier to apply for me the second way. It really helped with irritation from the RX when I bumped up to a higher strength of 0.1%. Long term, Retin A makes a huge difference. I get compliments on my skin all the time and I’m nearly 50. Good luck!

I have sensitive skin and rosacea so I got this as extra hydration to add with my moisturizer. Pros: the bottle is glass, it has a nice slightly sweet floral scent, it absorbs in well (slightly tacky if used on its own), and it hasn’t irritated my skin at all. Cons: I’ve used 2x daily for over a week and can’t really tell that my skin is any more hydrated. And the other reviewers are correct that the dropper is 0% useful. I think the Aveeno serum is better for my skin, but I was happy to try this one out!

I love this product! My skin is combination to dry. Heavy moisturizers make me break out, but light weight moisturizers just aren't enough. I use this serum every day, morning and night, under a water-based moisturizer, and it does an amazing job at keeping my skin hydrated all day without feeling heavy or sticky. When I don't wear it, my skin starts to feel dry midway through the day. I have noticed a huge difference. Thanks Pixi-- love your products!!

I have oily and dehydrated skin, acne prone, prone to congestion and clogged pores, and scarring. I LOVE this stuff. It’s truly makes my skin feel hydrated and moisturized and soft. I don’t even wear moisturizer on top because this does so well on its own for my skin. The dropper stinks and I don’t use it but I could care less. It’s exactly what it says - a milky serum that isn’t thick or leaves a residue. A little goes a long way! Just try it!! I’m on my 3rd bottle and will continue to buy and use!

It left my skin sticky, the smell is weird. Haven’t seen any improvement, if anything it made me break out. For the price is not worth it at all. I like the makeup but this will be the last time I buy a skincare product from them. Very disappointed.

I love this serum for my extremely sensitive skin! Everything burns my skin when I use different gel, even vanicream or cerave products! This is the only thing that I can put on my face when it needs hydration without irritation. It leaves a little bit of a tacky feeling but I personally enjoy that. I think it’s a great serum to use in the morning or at night under something. 4 stars only because of the dropper that doesn’t work very well!

I either wear no makeup or full face glam. When I lightly wash my face I use this after and when I scrub all that makeup I definitely use this after. My skin calms down, the redness calms down, the few flakes I get some times go away. I love this.

This worked instantly on my skin. I used this after the Glow Tonic cleansing wash and the glow tonic toner. I topped the milky serum with the jasmine oil blend and woke up with the most radiant skin. I highly recommend this for women in their late thirties, like me!

This wasn't the most moisturizing thing in the world, I wished it had been a bit more hydrating just bc I have dry skin. Would probably work for most skin types, even though my skin isn't sensitive, it got a little red after usage. Would buy again, but for me there are better options out there.

I don't know if I just got a defective product or what, but I was so disappointed with this. The milky mist is one of my favorite products ever so I was excited to try this, but it had a lot of issues for me. It has a strange smell, and doesn't smell like the milky mist at all. The dropper doesn't work at all and I had to carefully pour out the serum into my hand. The serum itself felt okay at first but then left a sticky residue on my face. All around an unpleasant experience for me which makes me sad because I generally really like Pixi products. I wish I could say that I'd be willing to try this product again with a different bottle, but I'm not spending any more money on this.
