Pretty bedframe, but the headboard

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Pretty bedframe, but the headboard is really short. My pillows are taller than the headboard, so I had to return it. Seems good quality and the color is great, the headboard is just short.

The bed is nice although

The bed is nice although the finish is a little darker than expected. It was easy to put together and I appreciated the "less plastic" approach to packaging the hardware. It would help to have words in the instructions, at least to understand that there are pre-drilled holes for screws in just two places. It would also be nice if the raw wood supports in the middle of the bed were better hidden from view. I own another queen bed with a better design. What made this rating low was the customer service once the purchase was made. It turned out that the item was not in stock, but there was no notification or communication. The chat bot could not handle simple questions and when I finally reached a person they couldn't handle simple questions either. The only time I received communication was when the item finally shipped.

The finish of the wood

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The finish of the wood is nice, but it is a little darker than the photo. Also, while I appreciate the support, the posts under the bed are a bit unsightly. This is my first platform bed and it is a little more difficult to make the bed than a traditional bed frame. I will be purchasing a five inch box spring to raise the mattress out of the “wet” of the platform to make it easier to get to the fitted sheet.

OMG - I opened the

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] OMG - I opened the box to find millions and millions of small parts, and an instruction manual for assembly that is at least 13 pages long!!!!!! Now I need to find someone off Plank And Beam’s “Angie List“ and pay them $150. 00 to assemble this bed! I have another bed upstairs that is similar in construction, but takes far less hassle and money to put together. Needless to say, the new bed by Plank And Beam is still in the box.

Highly Recommend

Ordered while the bed was backordered, but the backorder period was incredibly short and the bed was at our door before we were even home from vacation. Build did require two people for stability; overall it was pretty simple to put together and took a little over 90 minutes. The bed feels incredibly strong, no squeaking or other noise, no wobbling. My husband and I are probably a little over 500lbs combined and the bed feels really solid.
