Very nice screen! I love having the doors so don't have to move the whole screen to open/ lose the damper (we have a gas log fireplace). Sturdy, attractive, and excellent price. Win-win-win!

This fire screen has been wonderful, compared to our previous. Our old one, made tending the fire difficult because we would have to move the whole unit....urrgghhh. Having the two doors is a blessing and adding wood to the fire is now a breeze. The product arrived in a timely manner and my husband was not home. I'm a little handy and felt confident I could put together the few NECESSARY parts. Although it would have been easier with 2 people, I managed to complete the task before my husband arrived home. My only complaint is the two doors weren't aligned to my liking but a few adjustments to the hinges and I was very satisfied. Would definitely purchase again.

Poorly designed product. Unsafe. When we had our first fire, the magnetic doors, which looked a bit crooked, opened on their own about 5 min into the fire. Fortunately we were right there to prevent a possible fire. We recommend that you drop this supplier and not offer their unsafe products to the public.

The first screen model we bought before this one was so small it was non-functional. While the dimensions to the fireplace were accurate, the design left coverage gaps. Tried to give it away to six other people and it would not fit so we junked it. The second screen we bought was the one pictured, but Plow and Hearth send us a garden step rack instead. Just received the third screen and put it together. Dime sized chunk taken out of the front of the screen is not asthetically pleasing, but the real treat is how the screen leans forward leaving a three inch gap between the top of the screen and the fireplace. Going to try to shim up the legs or bend them so the screen is functional. Net net, a horrible experience all around. My advice to you is spend twice as much somewhere else and get something that works.

After I got the screen put together and setup in front of my fireplace, I was really pleased with the look. My only complaint is the wrench that comes with the screen made it difficult to assemble. I basically threw away that wrench and used one of my own.

fire guard is constructed as expected. The support legs needed a little tweaking so that the fire guard stood square against the hearth and didn't rock. Good news was that the could be tweaked, to give us a solid fit. Guard is much more solid than anything we have been able to find in stores locally
