Never been I to Pokémon until now. I absolutely enjoy this game! Already completed the story line within a week (I was off work lol). The story line was great. Wanted to see more if the “newer” Pokémon’s so stuck to Sword. So sad I have to pay extra for the rest of the map. *Crys in poor* lol

Highly recommend the game, super fun. One thing I wish I did was get the expansion so I could catch additional Pokémon that don’t exist in just the shield alone. Also recommend getting the online pass if you don’t already have so you can trade and pay with others. Shield has some exclusive Pokémon such as a Galarian ponyta among many others. Likewise, sword has exclusives like darumaka, Galarian farfetch, etc. once you beat the game there’s a huge wild area to catch Pokémon up to level 65. Mystery trading is super fun and you get a surprise Pokémon from another player. This games region is known for dynamaxing so you get to fight super giant Pokémon. There’s a battle tower that opens at the end when you beat the game. Toms to do once you finish the main story. I have been plying almost 100 hours and still feel there’s a lot of game left. Super worth the money.

I absolutely love this game. There's plenty of game play (I've been playing A LOT since getting the game a couple weeks ago and I'm still not done), the visuals are beautiful, and the Pokemon are so cute and fun. There's a good mix of Pokemon I remember from the old games I played as a kid as well as ones I've never seen before. The storyline and characters are really fun and interesting, and I haven't had a single glitch or issue. If you love Pokemon you will love this game!

I've played every Pokemon game and this is by far one of the best ones I've ever played. The visuals are beautiful, the new Pokemon designs are great, and I love the soundtrack! Yes, they've made a few undesirable changes, but they've also made really great changes as well. Overall it is a very great, fun, and addicting game. I recommend it to all. You won't know if you'll like it unless you try it yourself. ;)
A great game!

I'm not sure why everyone keeps complaining about this game. I got it yesterday to see what all the fuss was about, and couldn't put it down! I'm loving everything about it so far. I'm 25 years old, and have been a huge fan of Pokemon since the Gameboy Color. I've owned Pokemon games on almost all of Nintendo's consoles, so I too, am very picky about my Pokemon. People keep complaining about the Pokedex being cut in half, but this is 2019. It's time to experience new Pokemon! Maybe they all come back? Who knows. This is the opportunity to step outside of what we've been used to for over two decades now. It's not like the whole game is brand new Pokemon. There is still some nostalgia in there, and I get excited when I encounter them. The only downside for me so far is that I can't catch Pokemon higher than a certain level without a certain gym badge, even if my lower level Pokemon weakened it to catch it. Even with that, I think everyone should give this a chance. The gameplay and story mode really is nice.

So they cut the amount of pokemon you can catch in half. How sad. No longer the game it was, the variety is pathetic. Loved getting all the past starters and they removed all but the original trio.
Very bad example of a Pokemon game

Very short, bland and low quality Pokemon game. It is definitely not worth $60. It uses graphics from the 3DS and has many bugs in gameplay, it can even fry your Switch and all other games save files. It only has about 40% of existing Pokemon available. It is very tutorial and baby proofed feeling the entire game. Way too easy. Characters are annoying and constantly interrupt gameplay. Many graphical shortcomings and poor quality graphics.
