Q: Does this work by dehydrating litter box contents? Will it help with fruit flies making their home in the litter box?

A: Pooph Litterizer does not work by dehydrating the litter box contents. Instead, it uses a powerful, non-toxic formula that neutralizes odor molecules on contact, without masking them with fragrance. It’s completely safe for pets and people, and won’t alter the texture or moisture level of your litter. As for fruit flies, while Litterizer helps eliminate the odor that may attract them, it’s not specifically designed as a pest deterrent. To prevent fruit flies from gathering around the litter box, we recommend keeping the area clean and dry, scooping regularly, and ensuring no food or waste is lingering nearby.

Used the recommended amount with a fresh box of litter. Our older cat sometimes thinks he’s covering up his spots in the box but misses the mark. This product helps to minimize those misses!

Pooph Litterizer has been a game changer for our cats litter boxes(s). We have 3 cats which means we have 4 litter boxes. We have one in the main bathroom and this one stresses me out due to smell. We try to change every single time they go to the bathroom to prevent the smell but I no longer have to stress about it as Phooph have helped so much in keeping the smell down. I sprinkle some in every time I change the litter and it goes to work. I would definitely keep buying.

It closes securely to ensure no spilling. It has two options for sprinkling or pouring. It appears to be safe. It is fine crystals and not dusty. My cats approve!!!

I think it’s comparable to the baking soda alternatives on the market but nothing magical. I will continue to use it, but unless I notice something amazing that I haven’t already, I will not repurchase.

I use it in my two cats’ Litter-Robot, and it keeps everything smelling fresh and clean without being overwhelming like some other brands. I appreciate that the product itself does not have a smell (the Parfum smell will fake masking the odor) but after using it in my automatic litter box (I call it the robot toilet) there is not much difference. I've used cheaper brands and I find that to keep the smell minimal too. I do not see anything special about this product, especially for the price. I did not notice it helping with the moisture.

I’ve tried so many different options to get rid of the inevitable litter box stink many can smell miles away, so you can imagine the relief I felt after trying this. I don't like having a lot of dusty particles for my cats to breathe, but I think it's a good product if you just sprinkle a little at a time.

Sprinkling and mixing it in to the litter box takes seconds but the odor absorption lasts a long time. No added scent is an added bonus for those who are sensitive to perfumes/scents.
