Sabre Portable Door Lock: Keyless Temporary Security for Most Door Types, Ideal for Travel & Home, No Assembly Required

I didn't check the bag til i got home. The items was already cut opened. Looks like someone use a box cutter. Didn't fit my apartment front door. But it did fit my bedroom door.

One of the best security products I’ve ever purchased! Nothing is more important than feeling safe at night. I’m grateful to own two locks.

This door lock really works. They couldn’t enter my room at night. I had good night sleep.

Despite some of the negative reviews, I decided to give this a try because I’m currently staying in an Airbnb that doesn’t have a deadbolt—just a keypad lock. I wanted a little extra security to help me feel safer, and this definitely did the trick. It’s really easy to use: just place it in the door latch, close the door, and lock it into place. The door can’t be opened from the outside at all when it’s on. It’s also super easy to remove when you need to. Definitely worth it for some extra peace of mind while traveling!

It was easy to install and worked perfectly. While traveling out of state recently, we were caught off guard when a hotel employee entered our room without knocking or identifying themselves. My 13 year old daughter was very upset and uncomfortable. I placed the order on the Target app and it was ready for pickup quickly. We all slept better with the lock in place.

I bought this today and I’m so happy I did! The instructions were clear & easy to understand & installation took literally seconds. I’m using it at home right now and I like that it’s also portable. I will be recommending this to everyone! Keep up the fantastic work Sabre!!!

I had great peace of mind in small town motels with this door lock. All towns/cities, actually. Very easy to use. Great investment.

To victims of domestic abuse…..this will not keep him out. He will be able to give it a good shove with his shoulder and be able to get into whatever room you think you’ve barricaded yourself behind. Do not buy this. Anyone.

This is great for traveling on vacations or traveling alone. I used a stick photo to show how this portable door lock is used. I have mine packed away in my suitcase for a trip I have on Wednesday . The doors in my house are 125 years old, and this lock works perfectly for me. I think I would bring this with me if I ever traveled, and I’d feel much safer. It’s easy to use, and securely attaches to every door frame I tried. It installs within seconds, and anyone can do it, no tools needed. It’s sturdy, not too heavy, and comes in a discreet bag for traveling. I highly recommend this for anyone wanting to take an extra measure of security.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I found the directions a little confusing but once I got the hang of it it was quite easy to use. It did not work AS WELL on my interior doors as well as the exterior one. If the door does not have a 1/8 inch gap this will not work. I do not think this is the best all around solution for travel. But it will work if it’s for an apartment where you know you have a 1/8 inch gap.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Okay, so when I got this thing I figured there was no way it was going to work. Oh how wrong I was! It’s impenetrable, or close to it. I haven’t been able to overcome it yet, so it may be. It works very well, and honestly, I ordered a couple of these after testing them, because I’m impressed, to say the least. There are some instances where I travel solo and I always am vigilant about my surroundings. Even so, I’ve become more aware that even if you lock your doors, it’s not a fool proof guarantee that someone couldn’t elude the locks and let themself in. I’ve always wanted to try a tool like this and was excited to get selected to test it out. Here are my thoughts. PROS: -Lightweight and compact design makes it easy to pack for travel -Comes with a black travel bag to store it in when not using -Easy to install — even on my first try. The packaging contains images and instructions on the back to walk you through the steps. -Customizable for most doors that open inward. -Sabre’s trusted reputation for self defense and safety products -Very effective tool that’s lo-fi — I tugged with all my strength but door did not budge. CONS: -If you door has a large lock box on the inside where you are installing, you will need a narrow tool (I used a butter knife!) to access the release button. Please see my photo of the product installed for an example of my door. -Not a con, but a suggestion — would love to see Sabre develop additional colors and prints to make the tool stand out more. I gave 4/5 stars due to needing another tool to release the button, but overall solid lock!
