A: Hi - the fixture hangs from a black cord wire that you can trim to the length you want for your room situation. There is a 4' rod that extends from the shade, but the rest of what you see is black cord. Yes, you can use a dimmer with this pendant. The "Specifications" chart seems to have the measurements backwards, we will get Target to correct that. The correct dimensions are listed under the "Highlights". Thank you for the questions!

Perfect for an Inimate Work/Living Area
Blends well in a minimalist, intimate work area. Installation instructions were easy to follow. Easy to keep clean. Came with plenty of cable length to adjust o many ceiling heights, or remote junction boxes.

Great look, quality eh.
The look of the light is perfect. Plain and simple. Assembly is easy but the finished product isn't exemplary. The diffuser doesn't hang correctly and some of the screwed pieces aren't straight. If it was a light for $99. that would be one things but for $200. I would expect better.

Just okay.
Love, love, love the look. Really simple, clean, contemporary. Not sure about quality for price. Shade has a wrinkle on the inside that really stands out when light is on. Love the diffuser but it hangs crooked when screwed in. Expected more for 200$, especially since it's so simple.

It fills the room with light
We purchased this pendant style light for an office area with a vaulted ceiling. I works perfectly for us putting a lot of light on the white ceiling and a more filtered light on the desk and work area so there is no eye strain from too-bright light.

New light in breakfast room....
New fixture looks nice, should have bought a larger size. Not enough light shining down on the table. Will make due for now. Next purchase needs to be seen before buying in person. All other purchases online were great.
