A: Hi Debbie - the on-off switch on these wall lamps is located at the socket, under the shade. If you are planning on using these next to a bed headboard, we'd suggest pairing them with a plug in dimmer cord. That way you can easily brighten or dim the lights for reading or TV watching. Looks nice enough, and I like the brushed nickel finish. But the cord cover that comes with it does not match the rest of the lamp, ?in size or finish. Disappointing.
