This lampshade color provides a soft but not dim light. I was a bit concerned when I ordered it that it would not give us enough light, but it is just right. We have two, one on either side of a queen bed. The reading light is convenient to use when more light is needed.

We bought two of these for either side of our bed. We hard wired them in the wall, so no cord is hanging down. The larger light is soft and warm, the lower light is bright and focused for reading in bed. We love them.
