Q: Are these as reliable as the test sticks? I just can't believe the price... 50 tests for $16 whereas 3 test sticks are $10? Whats the catch?

A: Yes, they are. These have a 99% chance of getting an accurate result.
submitted byTargetShopper - 8 months agoA: Yes they’re reliable. I found out at 5 weeks with these. You have to use a cup for the sample and when you’r early the lines can be faint.

Q: Can you pee directly on these?

A: No, urine may be collected in any clean, dry plastic or glass container. Then remove the test strip from the sealed pouch, immerse the strip into the urine with the arrow pointing towards the urine, and take the strip out after 5 seconds.

Bought the combo pack because it was the same price as the 50 ovulation sticks. I now know why and it’s because these aren’t worth anything. Strong positives as dark as the control line on literally every other test I take. Had my beta hcg drawn this morning and it came back at 332. Yet these tests are still soooo faint. I think I’ll be in labor before these tests show a strong positive.

I used these tests first in 2019-2020 when trying to conceive my first child and they were great back then. I took literally probably hundreds of them due to infertility, and I never had a false positive or negative, and it detected my eventual pregnancy pretty early (10dpo). I started using them again last year when trying to conceive my second child. A few months ago, I had a chemical pregnancy that showed light but very clearly visible positives on other brands and only negatives on these. I’ve also had several tests with pretty bad “evap lines” that look positive but aren’t. I don’t think I’ll purchase them again since had I not bought tests from other brands too, I wouldn’t have known I had a CP and would have assumed I just made a mistake tracking my cycle. I still love their ovulation strips however and will continue to purchase those!

I have been testing almost every day for the last 9 days with 0 clear positives, a few faint lines, and then I saw that it could be a false positive. I'm 3 days late and now they're all coming back positive, but still super faint and hard to read. So I'd honestly save yourself the headache and go with Clear Blue and DO NOT TEST EARLY - especially with these. I know it's hard to wait, believe me. But just wait until you're late and test with a better brand. There's a reason why these are so cheap. Cheap $$ means cheap quality.
