Heavy and warm washes excellently

I bought flannel sheets from the Threshold range back in January and was so pleased with them that I recommended Target sheets to several friends. Based on that experience, last week I bought Egyptian Linens Heavyweight Flannel Sheet Sets in king and extra long twin sizes. What a disappointment! If I had looked more closely before laundering them to wash out the factory sizing, I would have returned them immediately. Here are the issues that struck me: - After washing and line drying, the gray color is no longer even. It looks lighter where it wrinkled when the sheets were spun dry. - The bottom sheets don’t have the second band of elastic at the corners as the Threshold sheets. - The top sheets are about 4” narrower than Threshold sheets and don’t tuck in at all on a 6” thick twin mattrress. - The fabric is harsher and doesn’t have the expected softness, suppleness and warmth. - The flannel nap is irregular and looks like it’s missing throughout the sheet. It’s difficult to describe, but it’s really different from the Threshold sheets. I will be returning these sheets for a refund and will stick with Threshold from now on.
