Yes, you can absolutely use this Lenovo IdeaPad 1 without a permanent home internet connection, but there is one "hurdle" you need to know about during the initial setup. Windows 11 (which comes on this laptop) usually tries to force you to connect to the internet and sign into a Microsoft account before you can even see your desktop. Since you don't have internet, you’ll need to use a simple "bypass" trick to get in. How to set it up without Internet When you turn the laptop on for the first time and reach the "Let's connect you to a network" screen, follow these steps: Press Shift + F10 on your keyboard (on some IdeaPads, you may need to hold Fn + Shift + F10). A black command box will open. Type exactly: OOBE\BYPASSNRO (that is a backslash, not a forward slash). Press Enter. The laptop will restart. When you get back to that same network screen, you will now see a new button that says "I don't have internet." Click that, then click "Continue with limited setup." Once you do this, you can create a "Local Account" and use the laptop entirely offline. Bought 2 of these at Target.com. It was never delivered per my security cam footage and instead sent back to the deliverer. I asked Target to resend and they refused to do it without me buying it again at Target.com. It's no longer on sale and $130 more per computer, so I called customer service again. They won't honor the sale price. I asked to speak to a manager. They refused to put one on and told me they were instructed not to in cases like these. What kind of business does this? Guess I'm done with Target. Little ol' me, I know, but this is unacceptable.

First of all it jumped $200 in front of my eyes and customer service said they could adjust the price if I brought it. So I did but then when I got transferred to the target plus department they told me no. So just to let you know it used to be 1318 not 1518. Also this laptop comes in S mode and it will not switch off. I cannot download outside of the store which means no EA app or Steam app download. I've tried everything to get out of S mode. This computer is complete and utter trash just for that alone. Don't get it! Spend your money on a different computer! I will update if I get out of S mode
