Cocktail Not Pears
Pears are no longer canned in pear juice. Grape juice is now used. This tastes like cocktail, not pears. If I wanted cocktail, I would buy cocktail.

Disappointed with continued decline in quality
Years ago Del Monte used to offer the best canned pear with perfect texture halves made from large size pears. These days, the pears are shockingly unacceptable. Some are too hard and some are too mushy. The size of the pears are much smaller. What’s wrong with their quality control department or is there ever one to start with. I have bought 3 times in the last three years hoping it’s just an occasional bad batch but no, it has become constantly bad.

The packaging is nothing special just a plain can, the pears aren’t fresh sometimes because they can darken a bit but they are canned so its not really the companies fault but the flavor tastes fresh and its pretty crunchy.

really love this Del Monte pear halves, taste really good. made out of fresh fruit and it’s sealed to keep its freshness. Packaging is handy and convenient. Texture is soft yet. The Ripeness is just right . Totally recommend it for fruit lovers .

Rock hard
Every time I buy a tin of del monte pears they are rock hard and under ripe, despite what the company says, some are so hard you can't even cut them with the spoon. They are sterilized in the can at high temperature which should soften them but it doesn't work. I won't be buying any more until they get their act together, supermarket own brands are beautifully soft and a lot cheaper.

Del Monte Pears in Juice
I was really disappointed to find the pears crunchy and one so hard I couldn’t cut it with my spoon. I had some about 12 months ago that were the same but didn’t complain but really fancied some again and disgoto find they are the still hard. You say they are hand picked and soft and juicy it’s just a shame that you don’t supply them like that. I have always had your fruit as it always used to be the best but you have slipped badly and spoilt your reputation. I’m certainly not going to buy more and would not recommend them to anyone. I have always recommended your brand before as being the best there is but no more.

The flavor of these pears are awesome! It's good and wholesome and tasty. And it's quick and easy at the same time which is always nice!! I also love that they're in 100% real juice.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. The pears were very sweet and juicy. I love that they are in 100% juice and not syrup. I get pears all year round but there are a great alternative to fresh pears. I do wish that they came in larger cans.
