There are those 2 big name brand English Muffins. We typically use the other one (Th**as) but these are great every now and again as well. They are refrigerated- a bit bigger in general- taste similar- I'd say when toasted they are a bit better tasting.

These are truly the best english muffins you can find. I'm always surprised that more people don't know about them. They're soft on the inside, crispy on the outside- and the taste is incredible. When I lived in the UK, I was congratulated when my roommate saw me cut the (English) Muffins by inserting the tines of a fork into the muffin repeatedly until I went all the way around, allowing me to gently twist the muffin open into two halves. This was the only way to ensure the muffin would be bumpy and craggy on the inside, enhancing the nooks and crannies. “Never”, she said, “use a knife to slice an English Muffin. That defeats the purpose, rendering them the same as sliced white bread”. Well, Bay English Muffins come already sliced — with a knife. No nooks & crannies. They may as well have been Wonder Bread. Neither did they impart a flavor any different from mass-produced sliced white bread. Finally, they are more expensive than Thomas’ English Muffins, so it’s a no-brainer. Thanks, Pappa!
