Yes it DOES have sugar in it
This bread is listed as "sugar free" when you do a search. It has 2 grams of sugar. It tastes good although it still tastes sweet like most American breads. It also has preservatives. As far as "whole grain," there is SOME whole grain added to the flour. Breads in the U.S. generally are more fattening because of the added sugar and refined and fortified flour. If you want healthy bread, bake it yourself.

A reviewer complained that Sara Lee lies to its customers when they say that this is whole grain bread. However, this is NOT what the packaging says. It says this is White made with Whole Grain bread. For people like me this is an excellent choice. I have some difficulty with whole grain bread so getting a white bread (which I love) mixed with whole grain is a fabulous and gentle on my stomach alternative. When you eat this, If you expect to taste white bread, you will not, if you expect to taste whole grain bread, you will not. This bread has its own unique flavor and texture. Please rate it on its own. If it's mushed or sold past date, complain about the store. Thank you.
