Blue foam in meat
We eat this sausage almost every morning but will no longer be eating it. This morning while preparing the sausage in the pan I found a blue piece of foam or plastic. Sad to think we’ve probably eaten more of those pieces in the past.

CAFO Pork?
Jimmy Dean sausage is delicious, but my question is, does the pork come from a Commercial Agriculture Farming Organization? I have learned that 2500 hogs are packed into barns and breathe the noxious toxic gasses that emit from the manure that drops to a pit below the hogs... this cannot produce healthy meat and also creates horrible conditions for the hogs.

Recipe Change
Not sure why but changed recipe. The added vinegar gives it a bad smell and taste. Couldn't eat it and threw it out.

Don't like the changes.
I used to love the breakfast sausage patties. I noticed a few years ago that the taste and texture was off. I thought maybe I had picked up a different product than I'm used to. But after a couple different packages with the same flavorless dry texture, I looked into the reasons. Turned out that the recipe has changed. I won't be buying any more. I'll stick with good old fashioned bacon from now on. Please change the receipt back to the original.

The flavor Varies from Batch to Batch
We have Jimmy Dean Sausage for breakfast many mornings. I enjoy it along with a smoothie. My only complaint is the amount of Spice CHANGES from batch to batch, sometimes quite drastically.

Label says 16 oz package 2 oz = serving 6 serving I was taught 6 x 2 = 12 16 ÷ 2 = 8 Where is the other 2 servings Am I paying for 16 oz and only getting 12?

Helped me to get over illness.
I got really thin and was sick with some sort of flu or cold. I don't usually eat meat, but I was getting really frail. My husband tends to buy this sausage so I thawed it out and started cooking it and I ate it from the skillet without adding anything but I drained the fat a little. I noticed a big difference eating this pork sausage for the past week. My health is much improved and I was able to gain back the weight I lost. It also helped me sleep much better. I think it's good for iron as well. My skin and my health is much improved and my cough is going away. My muscles are doing better. Thank you!

Problem with Taste and Texture
This is the third time I have purchased your product where the fat to pork ratio, seasoning and color were off. After cutting into the roll package, the meat was bright red in color. When cooking, it rendered no fat and I had to add oil to the pan to prevent it from sticking. The taste was missing sage, thyme, pepper, and brown sugar with small amount of red pepper flake seasoning. I am not sure what's happening with the quality checks or if these packs are from the beginning or ending of a batch run. I probably will not buy it again.

Very flavorful: Sweet, salt, and slightly spicy
I’m not a huge sausage fan, but my partner loves sausage so he bought this and made some mint Pattie’s this morning. I tasted one and I was surprised how flavorful they are considering the ingredients are mainly just pork and water with less than 2% corn syrup, salt, natural flavors, vinegar, sugar, pork broth, and MSG. That said, I find pork to be highly flavorful on its own, but this tastes like it has a little pepper or spicy which isn’t listed on the ingredients. The overall flavor of sweet, salty, and a little spicy are great. I would eat this again.

I purchased 10 rolls of Jimmy Dean Hot Premium Sausage for a sausage casseroles at our church. The sausage was slimy, discolored and smelled badly. When purchased it was transported home in a cooler with other cold items and kept on ice. This is not the quality I've grown to expect from Jimmy Dean. UPC 0 77900 11563 9

consistency of flavor
I have used Jimmy Dean sausage for years and lately it seems there is no flavor. One time is really flavorful and the next time it has NO taste is very pale in color when I open the tube. I make sausage cheese balls every Christmas and once again there is no taste. Why??? I use fresh ground Original

Gristle in Sausage
Am finding a lot of unchewable gristle in the Regular Jimmy Dean Sausage roll. I have been buying/eating Jimmy Dean Sausage for well over 15 years, and because of the gristle problem I have decided to try out my local grocery store housemade Sausage. Let me know if they decide to revert back to the better Sausage of past years.

Expiration date
Hi, I just purchased 3 2lb tubes of JD sausage yesterday (10/22/24. Froze it right away as I plan on using this in a Spaghetti fundraiser on Nov 16th.i just noticed the expiration of Nov 1 2024. Will this be good to use 16 days after expired date?

They need to make a sausage that has no sugar in it, all natural without seed oils like vegetable oil, canola oil and peanut oils. And without preservatives.
