Lift-the-Flap Tab: Trucks (Board Book) by Sarah Powell & Roger Priddy

Amazing book! a must have for truck fanatics!

I dislike when books for children have improper grammar in simple sentences. Children are still learning proper grammar and it should be modeled properly in the books they consume. An example is included in my photo. Aside from that, this isn’t my favorite book. Many of the pages have unusual designs for the trucks so they aren’t recognizable to toddlers (e.g. a pink “tanker” and a purple delivery truck). Additionally, I dislike that the only female driver in the book is sitting in the pink truck. Subtle gender roles that aren’t necessary. Lastly, the flaps on the book are quite small so they aren’t the easiest for little fingers to open.

This has been one of my son's favorite books for 2+ years. I just bought for a friend expecting a boy as well.

Big bright pictures and pages are easy to turn

Such a cute book but getting the flaps open the first time takes a little finesse. They will rip if you open too quickly.

My Daughter Really Likes Trucks And She Really Likes This Book, But I have Some Misgivings About This Book, Personally. The ONLY Female Driver In The Book Is Driving A PINK Truck, Which Really Bothers Me. It Feels Sterotypical And Forced. I Have Had This Book For Awhile Now, But Now That My Daughter Is 2.5, I Am Going To Buy A Better Book That Depicts The Trucks More Realistically And The Drivers More Equitably. I Will Say This For The Book, Though: The Flaps Are A Lot Of Fun And A Great Thing For Kids In The Toddler/Sensorial Stages!

I thought this was going to be a perfect book for our tractor big equipment loving son and he does enjoy it but just FYI a lot of the info. is incorrect. If that doesn’t matter to you then it’s probably a good buy, good bright colors unique page tab design and a fair amount of flaps but definitely could be more. We make up our own story about the trucks/tractor that is accurate., really wish the author knew what she was writing about though. The “digger” is a backhoe loader, the dump truck does not drive to the construction site it isn’t allowed on roads it’s too heavy, the delivery truck is not a moving truck but a beverage truck etc. etc.)

My 2 year old grandson loves the bright photos and to uncover the hidden pictures.

Looked used. Someone had already bent flaps back and cover was damaged.

When I received the book it was a little banged up on the outside. The spine was a little ripped. It looked like it had been dropped over and over into like a bookshelf. But non of the flaps were opened so I was glad about that.

15 months Love it instantly! Read it multiple times a day. There are 2-3 flap on each page. Baby wound grab the book and give me to read it. His favorite right now

I wanted to love this book because we have other Roger Priddy books, but I'm extremely disappointed that there's only one female driver in the entire book and she's driving a pink truck. Seriously? Continuing to enforce gender stereotypes to young children? My daughter LOVES trucks, but this book makes it look like only men can operate them when they grow up.

Came in even larger than expected

Very cute book! I like that it has common examples of trucks, has a few flaps on each page, and overall includes interesting information. My 2 year old is obsessed with this book!

My 13-month old who loves loves loves trucks got this for his birthday a month ago and reads this MANY times a day. Nice truck facts to read aloud on each page and durable flaps that he loves to open. Tabbed pages are easy for him to turn. You can open the door flap on each truck to see the driver (one truck has a female driver!) and an additional flap to see a different part of the truck.

MUST HAVE for any toddler that loves vehicles! My son is 14 months and he loves this book!
