[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have tried other Morningstar products before but never the bacon. This product was a miss for me. It wasn’t bad, but it also wasn’t great so wouldn’t be something I purchase. You do get a good amount of product in the package. I used the oven method but left it in longer than the directions because it wasn’t crispy enough. It did crisp up pretty well. I crumbled it for on top of baked potatoes. It did give good texture and some smoky flavor but honestly it didn’t have as much flavor as I would hope. Unfortunately the product uses artificial dyes, which I try to avoid as much as I can. Also I have had other vegetarian bacon options that have better flavor that I would rather use. So while this product isn’t bad it also is not something I would purchase.

My husband has eaten bacon before and he said it comes pretty close. I love you can get the taste of bacon without the calories !

Crispy bacon alternative
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As someone who has tried bacon, these strips aren’t an exact imitation but come very close to the real thing. They have a similar striped look and have the same crispy salty feeling. Very easy to prepare, I just microwaved it for a few minutes (according to the instructions). Overall totally recommend if someone misses the taste of bacon but without the cholesterol and harming of animals.

It helps to thaw them a little so they more easily come apart in the packaging or using a fork. I think you can microwave them as well.
