San Luis Sourdough Bread - 24oz

Ordered mobile pick up, they gave me a bread 1 week past the best by date and it was molded, disgusting

I absolutely love this bread. I buy it in-person (rather than ordering online) so that I can choose my favorite loaf. The loaves vary, which I love, because I can select the dough-y-est looking one, and people who like a more well-done loaf can choose that option. Once I get my loaf home, I immediately take it out of the bag and put it in a zip-lock bag, releasing as much air as possible. Then I freeze it. When I want a slice, I pull one out of the freezer and heat it in the microwave -- it creates to most magnificent, gooey, right out of the oven tasting sourdough bread I've ever had. It is such a delight!!!! I either eat it plain, with a bit of butter, or I lightly toast it and spread a little organic avocado on it and top it with a fresh egg, himalayan salt, cracked pepper, and red pepper flakes. It's absolutely divine. Thank you San Luis Bread Company!!!!!

Always fresh & yummy when purchased @ Target!

Very disappointed with this brand. I normally purchase different brands, but was in a hurry and grabbed this. Per the sticker it should be good for several days, but is not hardly edible now. I can’t imagine what it will be like in a few days. Very dry. Just feels like leftover old bread. I toasted for my sandwich today and put a few slices in the freezer for toasting in a pinch. I’m sure Target would have accepted a return, but not worth the time and gas to return at this point. I will never purchase this brand again.

My family loves this bread with sandwiches or for toast.

We had our pillow covers cancelled without any notice. It was the whole reason I placed the order..No option for substitution.

The bread was stale. I still have loaf minus 2 slices. I usually enjoy this bread for breakfast on the way to work so I know when its not right.

I did not like it at all. It has this artificial bitter flavor which I assume is meant to mimick the yeast flavor. I have since tried The Rustic Oven Sourdough and that one is quite nice in both flavor and texture.

Gross. Simply gross.

I don't know how this loaf made it through the facility inspection. It was burned and so dried out that it was inedible. This has been happening more and more often, indicating that it's time to spend money on a more worthwhile brand.

The taste of this bread is great, but the texture is terrible. It’s always all dried out. Even if you get it somewhat moist the next day it’s dry. The last loaf I got was partially opened and dry as a bone. I got a refund and bought another loaf and it was also dry. There are many brands of sourdough to choose from and this is not my favorite.

Target drive up gave me bread bag was opened and bread was eaten by a rodent, disgusting! Can’t they do a quick inspection before they bag it up it was pretty obvious see photo
