Q: Is this like or better than Benihana ginger sauce because I have been looking for something similar for so long ?

A: No, I don’t recommend this dressing. It is very tart and vinegary. It also has has a very strong celery flavor. I added sugar and ginger to the bottle just to make it edible.

A: How is soy sauce an animal ingredient? My family and I eat a 100% plant-based diet and we eat this dressing daily! We love it on cabbage and broccoli slaw.

The ONLY review you need
It’s Good for a fact not like your sushi restaurant dressing (similar to thousand island but more fresh) it’s not like that. It’s not sweet. The only thing it taste like is SOY SAUCE and GINGER that’s EXACTLY how it taste. I couldn’t find any reviews that gave a clear depiction on what this taste like so I hope this helps someone. It’s not bad though it’s pretty good! It’s fresh tasting but it taste like soy sauce with ginger notes it’s not bitter but not sweet. It just tastes mostly like soy sauce lol but it’s good. I would recommend to try. It’s a chunky texture a little, not smooth but I don’t mind it.

Great tasting dressing that’s not sweet. Compared to a lot of Asian sauces I have tried that are usually sweet this is a nice change. Definite must try. I had it with shredded cabbage and cut up salmon. Yum!

THE BEST GINGER DRESSING
After seeing people use this product on TikTok for cucumber salads, I had to try it and it did NOT disappoint! Genuinely, this makes healthy eating so easy for me. The recipe is baby cucumbers (cut into rounds), small peppers (seeds removed, cut into rounds), topped with the ginger dressing, chili oil, and everything but the bagel seasoning. This is the perfect appetizer/side dish to gyoza or really any dish. Try it, you might lick the bowl clean.

The best!
This is the best store bought Japanese ginger dressing anywhere! It has the right balance of acid, sweet, and salt. The ginger flavor is not overpowering and it is not too sweet as many jar dressings tend to be. It is actually better than dressing from many Japanese restaurants. I am so happy target carries it. I highly recommend it. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

This is my go-to salad dressing. It's delicious. It's very similar to the salad dressing they use at benihana. It's only 80 calories so it's a healthy and tasty alternative.

Into the trash bin
I simply don't like this dressing. It tastes like stomach acid and onions. There's little to no ginger flavor. The bottle I bought was not expired. I didn't finish my salad and put the rest into the garbage bin. I'm quite experienced with authentic Japanese cuisine and cooking and I don't think this product holds up to the selection out there these days. Recipe needs some work. Your body probably deserves better than potentially "Roundup Ready" GMO soybean oil anyways.
