Queso fresco or "fresh cheese" is the quintessential embodiment of Mexican cheese.  Traditionally made from raw cow's milk, ranchers wake early each day to begin the process of making queso fresco. Ranchero Queso Fresco is a soft, moist, curd-style fresh cheese that's bright, creamy, and pleasantly milky. Cacique Queso Fresco is made from pure cow's milk and not aged more than a few days.

    Perfection

    This cheese is a Household item in Mexican American families. Perfect to crumble/shred on top of Tacos Dorados, Enchiladas, Chilaquiles, Calabasitas, etc. It’s salty but not over the top. Maybe it you aren’t used to eating Queso Fresco.

    It's really good

    I love queso fresco just to snack on. This is my favorite brand but I do have to say that it's a little on the salty side but I like it that way. Maybe if you crumble it on top of tacos or a caserole you won't find it salty but if you eat it straight from the package, it can be a little salty. Other than that, it's perfect. It crumbles nicely too.
