This product isn’t a mocha or a latte—it’s rich, creamy chocolate milk. Despite the “Mocha Almond Latte” label, it lacks any espresso or coffee flavor and leans heavily on alkalized cocoa powder (aka Dutch-processed cocoa). If you're after a true mocha experience, this isn’t it. However, if you’re looking for a lower-sugar, thick, chocolatier drink reminiscent of chocolate milk or a protein shake, this delivers. Review: Disappointed in money spent as this is definitely not a mocha latte folks, it's a chocolate milk! It has alkalized cocoa powder, also known as ("Dutch-process cocoa) and is NOT the same as "mocha". The key difference is alkalized cocoa powder is just an ingredient, like chocolate milk, while mocha is a drink that blends espresso, steamed milk, and chocolate. This is neither a "mocha" or a "latte". I could have stuck with the Starbucks, vanilla latte and got the flavor I was looking for. I tried this as an alternative to the Starbucks vanilla latte. Califia has a lower sugar content, and that's why I purchased it, however that being said the main reason for this purchase was not based on the sugar content. The flavor as one reviewer mentioned tastes like a "muscle milk", would have to fully agree. And others have noted it as a "chocolate milk". The reviews on the Califia website are suspect. If you want a medium to strong coffee or espresso flavor go for something completely different. If you want a 100% chocolate milk, taste, flavor, and texture go for this, as it's creamy and thick. There is no reason not to enjoy or try this drink, but if you are looking for a "Mocha Almond Latte" as it is clearly marketed as, then DON'T buy!

The former "Mocha Cold Brew" which is now called "Mocha Almond Latte" is a must have for me! It wakes me up in the morning and gently energizes me throughout the day - all while being delicious!! Stores, both online and physical, run out of it frequently so I keep a big supply of it on hand!

Devotee for years w/prior packaging & would include multiple bottles in my weekly shopping so as not to run out and havta fork over more than double cost to drink triple the sugar at Starbucks en route to work. Briefly panicked it was gone from shelves ‘til stumbling onto new packaging: what a relief. Now multiple retailers locally have dropped it from inventory, and even my local Target this year dropped it from inventory, so I drive an extra 40 minutes just for this product into our city’s more congested Town Center and I buy double quantities vs. what I usta buy when I usta be able to find it easily at multiple retailers, including my neighborhood Target. Initially, I started drinking it because I’ve a sensitivity to dairy which I developed in midlife which requires an antibiotic to combat, and coffee shops used to charge extra for almond milk if they had it available at all which wasn’t very often. If you’re a Starbucks mocha lover as I am I’d be surprised if you, too, didn’t fall for this deliciously flavored cold brew. I absolutely love the convenience of having it in my fridge, just footsteps away versus requiring a trip to the coffee shop to satisfy my craving. Now if they could just duplicate the now MIA Mocha Valencia flavor as an alternate flavor profile, boy that’d be the bees knees! I love that this mocha latte has 1/2 the caffeine of an average cup o’ Joe, too, ‘cause that means I can enjoy twice the amount of it each day w/o fear of any caffeine withdrawal symptoms. I have always loved mocha even when I was a child. My chosen birthday cake was always mocha with chocolate frosting. The flavor of this cold brew is true mocha: it’s a chocolate drink with just enough of the bitterness of coffee to break the straight sweetness that you find with hot cocoa. So if that’s something that you already know your pallet enjoys, I definitely encourage you to give it a try. One thing to note is the fact that the bottom of the bottle is clear and I always check before opening a new bottle to be sure I’ve shaken it adequately so that all the ingredients that have settled to the bottom get evenly distributed in the drink, and in my home that can be quite a bit of vigorous shaking from different angles because I keep this product on hand easily 30 days at a time, sometimes more, certainly after the expiration date clearly printed on the bottle, and it stays fresh and delicious. And after I’ve poured that 1st cup, each time I go back for another cup I shake the bottle thoroughly again for the same reason before I pour. That way I get the same uniformly great taste each time. I’ve always enjoyed iced coffee, but in Winter I want something to warm-up with, so I nuke a cup just long enough to make a hand warmer out of my cup, because I don’t want to burn the mocha taste which I enjoy so much: same great taste every time. I have an old fridge and in its center it gets a lot colder than it does around the edges. So when I stock-up on my favorite mocha latte, sometimes I have to put a bottle in that center area of the fridge, and it freezes mostly, if not totally, solid. I have to let it defrost thoroughly before it’s ready to drink, and I have to shake it even more than usually is necessary for bottles that aren’t over-refrigerated, but it still has the same great flavor & body. One final note: because I have a roommate and there’s only one refrigerator in our home, space is scarce, so the fact that these bottles are sealed by the manufacturer so that I can lay them horizontally for storage in my refrigerator it’s absolutely genius! It’s so yummy, I love it and wish more stores carried it! It tastes like a mocha frappachino!

I have found the secret to make this taste absolutely delicious, add caramel macchiato creamer (any brand) and it pairs so well and makes the chocolatey flavor really pop out! Def my go to combo every morning!

This is the best mocha cold brew I have ever had, they constantly run out at the store because other people must be figuring out how good it is. It is seriously that good. I would say I go through four to six 1.4 litre bottles a week!, I’m not a person to ever right reviews but this mocha cold brew is that good

I'm not really one for coffee or plant-based milk substitutes. At least, I wasn't until I discovered Califia. A hint of coffee and a generous burst of chocolate with creamy almond milk makes for a decadent treat that you don't have to feel guilty about!

If you love chocolate milk this is for you! Unfortunately for me it was too thick and not enough of a coffee taste to make me rebuy. The texture and flavor is very close to a muscle milk protein chocolate drink...and I prefer the muscle milk. My last gripe with this drink is that it was a weird almost rubbing alcohol after taste.

Perfect cool coffee for warm mornings. It's a little 8oz cup of sanity in the morning gets me prepared for the tension of the day.

This has been my favorite iced coffee for years but this past year or so the taste changed. It doesn’t have the same yummy coffee flavor…not loving it as much!

Love this! I mix it 50/50 with Stok cold brew for my daily morning coffee.

I adore this drink so much, I buy loads each week (which is quite pricey unfortunately), but the taste is amazing. At the weekends I add either some amaretto liqueur or tia maria for an added treat. Simply delicious

I was trying to find something dairy-free, so I went with this. I will say it definitely tasted like a thick chocolate milk, but not strong as for it being coffee. I’m definitely the type who needs more caffeine too haha, but overall it was good. There was no chunks either, but again I want something more strong. I will still recommend it only because it wasn’t bad.
