Love the blue! The gold, not so much
For the price, it’s a nice piece. Very sturdy and the fabric is nice! Highly recommend applying screws loosely until you have all pieces attached. This allows you to keep corners straight. The blue velvet is very soft and much nicer than expected. The gold is not gold as you can see from my comparison pic. It’s more of a yellowed brown. I may spray paint those parts a prettier gold but for now I’m pleased with the bench.

Really nice bench/footstool. The velvet fabric is pure luxury so I put a towel on top when I'm using it every day. It is the perfect height and very comfortable. I have other things in my living area that have gold touches, and this adds to and matches perfectly. You can't go wrong for this, especially at this price.

This ottoman does not have the same base as the photo. Not sure if it’s an older model. I was a bit disappointed in that. I noticed other customers mentioned the same concern in their review. Some of the screw holes were off and difficult to line up.

I could smell toxic fumes omitting from it as soon as I started unpacking it. Packed it back up and returned. My fault, I should have read the description/information more. Paid the same amount for something made in America w real wood and not w a cancer warning like these stools.

Perfect and versitle

Don't waste your money!
Don't waste your money. It looks cute, but it's impossible to put together. While the base looks like one solid piece, it isn't. It's four legs and an "X" that you have to attach to the bottom of the legs. It doesn't fit. I broke a sweat trying to get the screws and holes to line up. They don't after you attach one leg. Plus, all the shoving and pulling has scratched/torn the gold paint off part of the legs. This ottoman is garbage.

Model update is a downgrade
I ordered the sleek version pictured on the product listing and received what must be an updated model, which has feet and seams on the legs and a thinner cushion. Quite disappointing. I believe it’s a model update because sites that sell this model are now showing both pictures.

Missing all hardware for assembly
The colors and bench are so cute that I really want to not return but the box did not contain any hardware or screws for assembly. I am having to track down similar screws from Amazon spray paint them a similar color to avoid having to return the entire package- since they no longer have any in stock to exchange this one for. Not worth the purchase, now.

Pretty but poorly machined
This is a pretty ottoman, but I've never purchased a product as poorly machined as this one. If I actually managed to get the X base lined up and screwed on properly, it threw the legs off where they attach to the seat. (See attached pictures.) If I managed to get the legs lined up where they attach to the seat, then the X base was left with gaps where it attaches to the legs. What should have taken about 10 minutes to put together (the actual design and assembly couldn't be easier if it was actually machined properly) ended up taking me about a very frustrating hour as I unscrewed the screws, moved the leg positions, and tried everything I could imagine to get things to line up. I finally put it together so that everything was just slightly off, which irritates the heck out of me since I'm a perfectionist. But I'll keep it, because I hate the hassle of returning things. I wouldn't buy it again, though. And it's certainly not worth the price.
