Q: I'm looking for a bookcase headboard and two nightstands, and I need them to match. Do they have "model names" i.e. Sonoma, etc. or do we just assume that "expresso" color will match universally?

A: The model names are related to the style of the dresser. All espresso products from Prepac will match each other. So, for example Fremont and Yaletown nightstands will have a different style, but the espresso finishes will match each other.

Q: does this need assembly?

A: Our products require full assembly, including drawers. You will need a hammer and two types of screwdrivers - Phillips head and flat head. A drill or power screwdriver will make assembly go faster.

A: The finish of this item is "Washed Black" which is black with espresso "flecks" which gives it a softer, less harsh appearance than black.

Great nightstand!
This is one of the few tall nightstands that is a reasonable price. My bed is 24" and this nightstand is the perfect height. The instructions were a little daunting at first, as they're mostly pictures, but once I started it was easy to identify the steps. If you've put together other furniture this should be a breeze for you. You do need a screwdriver and a hammer - there is pretty much no way to put it together without those tools, so just be prepared. It is sturdy, easy to assemble, and everything fit together perfectly and I had no issues getting it put together! I am definitely pleased with this nightstand.

i was looking for a decent sized nightstand with two drawers and tall enough for our tall bed. this was a happy find and the shade of black matches our ikea dresser perfectly. i would recommend using an electric screw driver, especially when assembling the drawers as it's pretty hard using a regular screw driver (I ended up bruising my palm because of how hard it was screwing in some of the parts). i bought 2 night stands and it took about 2hrs to assemble by myself (I'm sure it would've been faster if I had an electric screw driver).

Cute Nightstand!
Stylish and functional, this nightstand fits perfectly next to the bed without taking up too much space. The height is perfect for a reading lamp. I love the little cubby and drawers beneath. It is of a low quality pressboard and not real wood, except for a small drawer component, so be careful near water. Only one complaint: the instructions were a nightmare, according to my husband, who puts things together for a living! Although there is a key in the manual, the parts are not numbers themselves, so it took two hours to assemble! I really love the look of the nightstand, but I personally wouldn't have the patience to put it together. Thank goodness my husband did!
