Assembly difficult
It's really a two-person job, but one able-bodied person can do it alone if you remember to insert the crosspieces with pegs into the side piece first, to hold it upright while you attach the shelves. It's a job of about an hour or two. The biggest challenge is that the wood screws are fairly difficult to turn (using the included hex driver) and you do need to have a fair amount of strength in your hands; I wouldn't recommend this as a project for someone who's elderly or infirm. The other problem is that it's fairly easy for the hex sockets in the wood screws to become stripped; I had this happen on one, and I took the extra time on the rest to make sure that the tip of the hex driver was fully seated before applying torque. Even so it's a dicey business. The finished product is decent looking and sturdy enough (so far), but going forward I'm going to stick with the hinged, zero-assembly folding bookshelves I've bought in the past.

Nice shelf, color different than pictured
The shelf is all wood and sturdy however the finish is a lot lighter than pictured. The customer pictures from 2020 look different, I think they changed the finish. I wanted that more vintage brown. It also took me a really long time to assemble. Simple but not easy, definitely would be better with two people. If you don’t mind the lighter color, this is a nice shelf.

Nice shelf, looks good
Reviews sounded good, so I ordered this to keep some extra bathroom stuff on. Husband and our 8 year old put it together, no problems. Took around 30 minutes, maybe 45, with kid help :) I really like the look of it, not too dark, not too light, it is a 'honey' color. Seems sturdy. I'm not using it for a bookshelf, it's kind of tucked away out of sight, but I would definitely get another one to keep books on, knick-knacks, etc.--it's a really good looking shelf.

Real wood! Good color. Check for stain smudges when you assemble. Back slats are loose and could take some wood glue. Use a level when you assemble or it will be crooked. Great value for the price.

This bookshelf is great!
I absolutely love this bookshelf, the color is perfect and the size is better than I thought for the price. It also feels really sturdy. If you are thinking about purchasing it I definitely recommend this buy. Also it’s super easy to put together.

The bookshelf looks as expected and was fairly easy to put together. It is nice that it has the wood beams on the side to hold the books in so you don't need book ends. I am very happy with this bookshelf and like the golden oak color, size, shape, and design.

Great bookcase! It's solid wood and it took less than 2hrs to assemble. One complaint is the manufacturer sticker placed on one of the boards is difficult to take off. It's underneath the top shelf so we just left it on since we can't really see it
