the casing is a bit tough, it’s not something that bothers me a ton but i think is worth noting for others. i personally found them extremely overly sweet though. if you like very sweet sausage you will probably like this, but i wouldn’t purchase again.

Not a fan
I’ve enjoyed other Gilbert’s sausages in the past, with the pepper & onion one being the standout favorite. This was so inedible to me that I had to spit it in the trash—the apple pieces were incongruous to the rest of the sausage texture, which was already off putting, but the sweetness was laced in a weird chemical aftertaste that I just couldn’t get past. All of that to say, my toddler loved them. LOL

Weird texture?
The texture was a bit off putting but they did smell and taste decent, just couldn't get past the toughness. I'm not sure if we just got a bad batch or thats normal for these sausages in particular.

Yikes
Texture is very chewy and rubbery, gritty too. I don't know if it's spices or bone and gristle pieces but these things sure are gritty. It's like they're full of sawdust. They're also spicy despite nothing spicy listed in the ingredients, and overly sweet. Bought these on sale and wish I hadn't. They're awful. Please get a better brand on the shelves.
