I do not recommended this product
We tried this spray for our toddler and it was not effective. It was almost like he didn't even have bug spray on.

A couple of things to check: one, the expiration date to be sure you have fresh product as essential oils can evaporate and lose their potency over time. Two, be sure that the product is well shaken prior to application. This formula separates at rest, which is how it self-preserves (without the addition of harsh, synthetic chemicals!). When the product is separated, it would be primarily water getting sprayed through the pump! In terms of efficacy, our anti-bug line is tested against stable flies as well as two common species of mosquitoes: Culex quinquefasciatus and Aedes aegypti. While the all-natural ingredients we use are generally considered repellent to a wide variety of biting insects, it is possible that you encountered a mosquito species that the product is not as effective against in which case, we have a full satisfaction guarantee. You can reach our customer service team by email at custserv@badgerbalm.com, by phone at 800-603-6100, or by web chat and they'll be glad to assist.

I would buy this product again and again!
Seems to work! It went fast though, will need to buy a few at a time. I love the natural ingredients as well. The smell is a little eh but it's to be expected. I'm just thankful it works, especially living in Jurassic park, Texas lol

I would not buy this again for its intended purposes.
It smells like pink bubble gum which I like but it did NOT work against mosquitoes. Within 15 minutes of putting it on I got chewed exactly where I had sprayed it on multiple occasions. The spray function actually works! Unlike other brands. This brand is typically really good.

In terms of efficacy, our anti-bug line is tested against stable flies as well as two common species of mosquitoes: Culex quinquefasciatus and Aedes aegypti. For all of Badger’s Anti-Bug products, efficacy has been demonstrated on humans by accredited third-party labs using “arm-in-cage” repellent testing protocols according to standards set by the EPA. There are a limited number of ingredients allowed under EPA 25 B Minimum Risk Exempt regulations. While the all-natural ingredients we use are commonly considered repellent to a wide variety of biting insects, it is possible that you encountered a mosquito species that the product is not as effective against.

It's the only anti-bug product I use!
I live in a rural area, near woods & mountains -- this is the ONLY bug spray I will use. I try to use organic, natural products as much as possible since I've survive 3 ovarian cancer journeys in my lifetime - last one being 14 years ago. I refuse to use products like OFF, etc., that have nasty chemicals in them. I DO spray this on the pals of my hands & then apply to legs, arms, neck, -- any exposed area. I feel applying in that way keeps the spray from escaping into the air rather than on my skin - little or no waste of the spray in that way. It lasts for hours as I'm golfing, working in flower beds, etc.

Didn't work.
I am located in Maine and I tried three times golfing. It seemed to attract more mosquitos. I really wanted it to work…

Not effective at all
Doused myself in this and still got completely covered in mosquito bites. Two stars for cleaner ingredients. But how helpful is that if it didn't work?

This did not work at all.
I used this today and was attacked by mosquitoes. I have nerve damage so I can't feel when I am being bit, I only feel the itch afterwards. I would estimate I have about 30 bites on my legs after using this product and applying it 2x. All these bites in less than an hour. I will stick to OFF! Clean feel. I should get my money back. If there was a place for a picture I would post one.

Don't believe the raving reviews
This just doesn't work. Perhaps it specifically does not work for North Texas mosquitos, but it does not stop mosquitos from attacking you. I sprayed a vigorous amount on my child, and yet they kept landing on her. I have a photo for proof.

Cedar is key
Reapplying frequently is required BUT works well. I work outside and am in my personal life outside frequently. I used to make a similar mixture to use but this serves the purpose (and time).

Great bug spray
I've used this product for years. I spray it on a bandana and wear it around my neck if I'm going somewhere really buggy, like Alaska. If I am doing dense mosquito lands, I add a bit more citronella. I don't put any bug dope on my skin, so I use a bandana around my neck and then put it on cuffs and pant legs. Wearing light-colored clothes helps.

Attracts bees!
Every time I put this on, bees come swarming around me! Took me a few times to realize it. I feel it does help with limiting mosquito bites. But I just can’t put up with bees surrounding me every time!
