Not what I expected
The bench was slightly scratched, but most importantly, the shoe slots were so narrow, that we had to remove those dividers and leave the slots without the dividers so that both shoes fit the slot. Very inconvenient. In reality, it's not design to fir 24 pairs of shoes.

this is a nice shoe cubby bench. I have a couple of suggestions if you were looking to buy this: look at the inserts first, and if there are scratches on one side, aim those toward the bottom when the bench is assembled. When hammering in the dowels on the trim don't go too far or you will damage the wood on the other side, the directions don't say this, but they should. overall a nice bench for the price, but I did have to use the touch up marker quite a bit.

I like the shoe cabinet and it blends in with my decor. The only issue I have is the instructions. The instructions booklet has every piece labeled by letter/number, but the actual pieces are not labeled. I was able to figure it out but it might be a challenge for someone who hasn’t assembled furniture before.

Some assembly difficulty
This was easy to put together until the next to last step. The slats that make up the shoe cubbies did not go together. We had to take it out of the already assembled frame and then reinsert it. There was also one slat that was not properly finished.

cheaply made
honestly to me this wasn't worth the price but I did need it so on that aspect alone it makes up for cost I guess? it's particle board and the slats that make the cubbies are super thin and cheaply made. I expected better quality. it does serve its purpose so far and got rid of the need for a shoe bucket which was driving me insane. i just wish they would have made it actual wood instead of particle..

I purchased 2 of these and put them end-to-end under a wide bank of windows in our bedroom. My BF put them together in very short order and they are very attractive. I have some ankle boots with heels that do not fit but almost every pair of shoes from sneakers, slides, heels, low-rise boots fit in these cubbies. Do not post poor reviews if your hooker boots do not fit. The size of the openings are in the description of the storage bench. I am looking for a cushion now (may make one) to go on top. It's the perfect height for a window seat and our dog perches on it daily to update his progress report on the neighbors. Versatile as well as attractive.:)

I would recommend this shoe storage and would buy it again. Few helpful tips that worked for me. Mine had a little scratch, they give you this black color pen to color it in, it worked for me. Some of the foam that protects it while shipping was stuck to it, used my nails to scrub it off. My husband and I put it together (would recommend two people) and used a drill. Easy to assemble and took about 30 minutes. Easily fits size10 1/2 shoes in one space. I would recommend putting the shoes in each space like you would put shoes in a shoe box. Hope this helps!
